Well --he's not exactly tearing up the RSL for Khimmik this year....3g+6a=9pts in 17GP ...but he is +2...meanwhile Yakoubov is 2g+5a=7pts and -4 for Severstal....both of them now look like total busts =even for the RSL!

This doesn't mean ANYTHING. Russian league is very much different. Zherdev had 4 points in 20 games in 03-04.

Yes but Alxei Morazov has 14g+14a=28pts in 19GP--if Vorobiev were any godd he'd have more points by now--instead he's just akhead of Yakoubov and both look like they can't even be an elite player in the RSL...

Morozov is also arguably the best forward in the RSL at present, I'd hardly consider it fair to compare either of them to the best player in what is probably the 2nd best league in the NHL.
Morozov was quite capable of competing head on against Malkin in the RSL last season, and was similarly productive relative to Ilya Kovalchuk in his final RSL season. Morozov may not have done much in the NHL, but if either were producing close to him in the RSL it would be an extremely positive sign.
It's early yet but producing at .5 PPG is actually quite nice in the RSL.

Vorobiev is a decent second line scoring threat that management mishandled. Dude can score, and score in bunches. Expecting him to take control of a line by himself is foolish.

Since we still own his rights I'm hoping that if there is a trade with the NYR that he could be that little something extra that gets a deal done. The ranger board is on fire with petr prucha being sought after by the hawks.
