Lets vote Rory Fitzpatrick into the All-Star game
 

Since we're all going to be voting many, many times...why not start an HFBoards project, and try to get Rory Fitzpatrick into the all-star game under the Western Conference write-in.

Basically the whole idea is that if we vote in the one player who probably deserves it the least, imagine the awesomeness that would come from that.

I'm thinking if all of HFboards unites, we can actually get Rory into the All-Star game. Pass it on, and vote often!

Surprisingly I like this idea, I voted.

Honestly, if he actually somehow gets into the All Star game, this will be the greatest accomplishment ever. I also voted Wade Belak for the East, but him getting in would be less of an accomplishment since he'll probably be a coach's choice anyway.

If we can manage 500 people voting an average of 100 times a week for the next 6 weeks, we *should* be able to get him in.

Has this been posted in The Lounge yet? That would get a big boost in voting.

Don't the starters get close to a million votes? It would be hillarious if it worked, but it's going to take thousands of people I reckon.

If this is actually going to work though, it needs to be on a bunch of other message boards too. Canucks.com would be the best, if anybody posts there, they have like 40,000 members who would gladly vote for Rory over and over again.

Doesnt matter. Just the news part that All-Star Rory Fitzpatrick had to be replaced due to injury would be worth it :D.

True, true...we need a sticky for this, otherwise it's just going to die after a day or two.

And I would suggest posting this on calgarypuck.com since they have a lot of users, but they probably wouldn't do it since Fitzy is a Canuck.

This is a lot more feasible than I thought. Didn't Svatos get 50,000 votes from HF boards in a few days? This is pretty much a gimme if people actually do it. He could be the leading vote getter!

It'd be so much easier if you could just vote for some players instead of players from both conferences. I have no business choosing players from the eastern conference, i don't see them nearly enough.

And I can't think of a more deserving all star! Someone needs to take Aki's place as the best defensemen in the NHL.

I would just like to say, that this is quite possibly the greatest idea in the history of planet Earth. Kudos to the OP.

Oh, and just to point out the obvious, make sure that when you vote for Mr. Fitz, cast your other votes for players that are unlikely to get votes from others. No point inflating the totals of Rory's competition. :)
