How petty does Brooks sound defending himself on the ass-whooping he took last week re: Jagr?

"Now I've got it. The Washington TV announcers who shill for the home team and never sound so good as when the mute control is activated, well, don't you know that they spoke to Jaromir Jagr, so they've got the real story. Right."

"And what in the world becomes of Lindros once Jaromir Jagr is added to the mix? No doubt that when - OK, until it's actually done, if - Jagr gets to Broadway, No. 68 will immediately assume the position on Nedved's right."

Isn't that reminiscent of the language you were using when Patrick was looking to deal Jagr from ther Pens, Mr. Brooks? It was all so inevitable that time, too.

And on another front: "Sather liked the mix of his lines, and would not commit to changing things up again to fit Carter into the lineup."

Does this spell the end of Carter's Ranger tenure?
