Volchenkov & Schaefer are Gametime Decisions

Volchenkov (flu) Schaefer (eye) are gametime decisions as per the sens ticker & team 1200.

See, I WOULD have posted this to the GDT but ;)

This should be eventful.

It's up to Spezza to block shots.

It's over!

Are Redden and Alfy out still?

I wouldn't even show up for the game..

Just ask them to Rock/Paper/Scissors for the win.

Gr8full 12-14-2006 08:21 AM

Poor Emery better get ready to get pasted. :(

Human Megaphone 12-14-2006 08:22 AM

Man oh man. We are in a lot of trouble tonight.

Gr8full 12-14-2006 08:26 AM

Alfie's still not at full speed

Trying to build on Tuesday's victory -- ending a three-game losing streak, which began after a four game winning streak -- Ottawa is unlikely to get captain Daniel Alfredsson back for this evening's meeting with the Central Division-leading Predators.

But Alfredsson, who strained a hip muscle four games ago, isn't about to write off a return at the Gaylord Entertainment Center just yet.

"We'll see how it is (this morning) and go from there," he said after yesterday's practice, in which he again was a full participant.

"I don't know if I'll be ready (tonight). It keeps getting better but I still can't go forward at full speed."

Coach Bryan Murray wasn't even that optimistic.

"It doesn't look promising," said Murray.

Missing Wade Redden for what tonight will be a seventh straight game hasn't helped matters, either.

Defenceman Anton Volchenkov missed practice with unspecified soreness, but is expected to play.

Left winger Peter Schaefer is expected to play too, despite the fact an infection in his left eye seems too be spreading into his right.
Take it for what it's worth.

He should use a towel to clean that up.

OTT- NSH

SOG: 3- 55
Score: 3-2

I hate all these injuries. The more guys get hurt the more other guys have to play, thus increasing the chance for more injuries.

Bah.

Sens are like Whoa 12-14-2006 08:51 AM

Well, plus side - Get them out of the way now.

Bah.

Or we can spin this positively. More ice time for players that would otherwise see less minutes like Eaves. This means they get to further develop there game in a better role which will be better for the team when everyone becomes healthy.

Maybe he should get some eye drops. :dunno:

We don't need them. McGrattan, Hennessey, payer, Allison. Case Closed!

Isn't McGrattan injured? So, Bois again?

I saw Schaefers eye during the Wings-Sens game, it looked AWFUL, like it had some weird twitch to it and it looked like it was closed the entire time. How great would it be if he sports a pirate patch out there for the game?

The Mars Volchenkov 12-14-2006 11:23 AM

Shouldn't the title be changed? Neither has been ruled out just yet.
