the one guy on my team has a clump of white hair from falling down the stairs i think...hence, we call him Storm....like off of the X-Men movies.

mine- Knuckles
my team mate that I pretend to like- Beaver Butt

Not really funny i guess. But we called a Good friend of mine "Bull" because of how big he was. He would absolutely cream people, and nearly impossible to knock off the puck. Also one of the Best stick-handlers i've ever played with.

We have a dangler on our team who's pretty small but really talented... I call him Buttercup and it drives him CRAZY!

There was a "Hot Dog" on another team that we used to call "Leon"...as is "Come on! Leon can't do everything!"

Our goalie's name is Courtney, but when she hits the ice we are only allowed to call her PJ.....as in PJ stock. She's only like 5'2, but don't ever slash at her glove after she's covered up a puck!

We had a goalie in Juniors who was 6'-3" 325lbs and we called him "Grimace". He liked to visit the Golden Arches and with all his gear on he was shaped like Grimace.

My friends and Hockey teamates call me Moose because Im the only Canadian among them, I live in upstate New York

There was a guy who I used to play shinny with who we nicknamed "Backhand". Mostly because he always went to his backhand (one on one against a D or on a breakaway against the goalie) ... but also because we didn't know his real name. :dunno:

I played on a team with this guy named Curt. Somehow, halfway through the season his line decided they didn't like his name and changed it to "Guy" (Like Guy Lafleur)

So for the rest of the season he was called Guy. Then we made it to provincials and our coaches got sick so we had a new guy come and coach us...and right there on the roster was Guy James.

God did we laugh.

I don't get it. Is he a Buddy Holly fan?

I played pickup hockey with a guy known only as "green stick". Very talented stickhandler -- his skill set him apart from the other players IMO but his bright green stick drew an equal amount of attention (I think it was an Easton Synergy). Another guy is know as Musketeer because he's got a moustache, long hair and an eagerness to fight.

There was also another guy we named "Velcro" because he could get his gear off and back in the bag in about 2 minutes. Noone else would have both skates untied and he would be ready to leave. We figured his entire uniform had one big velcro strap on the side and came off in one piece.

There is a guy I play oldtimers with. He is the fastest skater and the biggest hotdog, so I had to come up with a nickname for him. Espcially since I am the worst guy out there and totally not take it serious and have total fun with everyone. What makes him standout is he wears white gloves. His nickname after the first game I played with him: Cumglove!
