Rangers Flames Trade Proposal
 

Ok dont bash me yet lol, with the Rangers needing more grit, I think the flames would be a good trading partner.



Rangers trade Immonen, Hall, J Ward, and rights to Jan Marek (might as well get something for him) to the Flames for Chuck Kobasew and Darren McCarty. If Marek dont sign with the Flames, the flames will recieve a 3rd in 08. The Flames can use another centre behind Lombardi and Langkow. Rangers recieve more grit. McCarty adds another vet that won a few with the Wings, and will stick up for teammates. Kobasew is an upgrade over Hall, not very big but a stocky player that has speed and works hard.

How about we also throw in a third, and get the older Regehr, Warrener, Chucko and Peleck instead?

EDIT: I'm sure we're getting too much back, but I'm drunk and its late.

McCarty is 34 and hasn't any points this year. Makes me wonder if he can still keep up. Kobasew seems to be the best player in the deal. As far as Marek and/or a third--why? I'd scrap that as I'm not in a hurry to get rid of a draft pick. Maybe Immonen and Hall for Kobasew would be okay and forget the rest.

If Marek would ever come over to the NHL, he could make a big impact. He is scoring more than a point a game in the RSL, which is quite an accomplishment.

Calgary...first game of the year last night...concusses Boogard and knocks him out for a few games. Helped some opponents and his team! Oh and the Flames won too...so you can play an enforcer and win

Kobasew would be great.

I would love to have him, and if McCarty would pick up his offense a little, that would be great.
