Suggestion: Fedotenko

RUSLAN FEDOTENKO (1.65M) 10G-9A-19P

FOR

CHUCK KOBASEW (1.2M) 3G-14A-17P

THE STATS ARE ALMOST EQUAL. KOBASEW IS SIGNED THROUGH THE END OF NEXT SEASON AND FEDOTENKO IS A RFA (?) AT THE END OF THIS SEASON.

TB GETS A SCRAPPY, DEFENSIVE WINGER WITH 25-30 GOAL POTENTIAL.

CAL GETS A WINGER WHO CAN PLAY ON THE LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE AND HAS GOOD SIZE (6'2") AND ALSO HAS 25-30 GOAL POTENTIAL.

MAYBE NEW SURROUNDINGS CAN IGNITE THE GOAL POTENTIAL OF BOTH.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? :dunno:

that may be alright. Fedotenko played great against calgary in the playoffs of 04

i'd rather keep kobasew... he may be struggling finding the net this season but he has proven he can score 20... now he is proving he can put up assists too... give him another year before you dump him for a guy with the same stats... unless we are improving the team not making alateral move there is no point in disrupting chemistry or the dressing room

Not sure why Calgary would do this deal.

Agreed. I can't see how this would help Calgary much, especially if the price is giving up Kobasew.

I'd like to pick up Fedotenko, but I'd rather keep Kobasew and do it with a prospect and a pick, and maybe a salary (UFA obviously) heading back to TB.
