8:30 start, isnt that nice.

I think Marty St. Louis is going to have a huge game and carry the team to victory.

There is a basketball game there in the afternoon so they need time to change from b-ball to hockey.

Probably Homer, but you can never be sure with Torts as the coach.

Hockeyfan02 01-20-2007 11:36 AM

Going by the "Start till you lose" system Torts likes to use: Holmqvist.

Butchered 01-20-2007 11:37 AM

Holmqvist SHOULD have a spot on the bench tonight after those two soft goals he let in last game, but I think he'll start.

Thats what I said after Denis beat Buffalo last weekend too, only to see Holvmqvist in New York Monday.

Sorry. Forgot to put the asterisk for situations when both goalies win their last start and the team is playing a back to back with one game on the road and the other at home.

Butchered 01-20-2007 11:43 AM

That was odd. Marc gets a good win against an elite team, and he doesn't get the call to play the Islanders. He should have started that game.

Hockeyfan02 01-20-2007 11:47 AM

Well if you look at Homer's stats against the Isles and the Leafs, it's obvious why Homer started the Islander game and Denis was saved for the game against the Leafs.

NickHanson 01-20-2007 12:06 PM

Won't be able to see most (if not all) of this game.. Monster Jam at RJS.

I dont know why you guys are so high on Denis. He was worthless in Colorado, and he was bad in Columbus. The guy is Clothier class. Holmqvist is clearly better.

Thanks for coming in here and eloquently pointing out our misgivings.

It's not like Holmqvist was outstanding in his time with the Rangers.

Denis played well against Buffalo and Toronto in his last two starts so it's not shocking for some to think that he should get another start.

He should be starting until he can't stand up. It's the only way he produces.

what do you mean? He started like 3 games for Rangers. Yeah that's really fair to judge him for :shakehead

And why, exactly, did he only start three games for the Rangers?

Maelmoor 01-20-2007 05:55 PM

A crucial game, a win here would mean a lot...on the other hand all games are important in our situation...

Ain't that the truth.

so why are you blasting him? He is on your team and has played better than Denis. And no one here expected that.

Maria 01-20-2007 06:45 PM

Let's go Bolts, show a good effort tonight ;)
