Los Angeles Kings @ Calgary Flames (1/30/07)

Man I am pumped for this game now. Hopefully the boys get a win tonight and Craig Conroy has a good game (it would be nice to see him score a goal tonight in his first game back against his old team).

There's a slight chance Iggy will be back in the lineup tonight, but I'd expect to see him on friday or saturday of this week, at least that's what they say on the radio. Regehr is back so Zyuzin should sit. So that leaves Chucky, McCarty, and probably Iggy on the sidelines tonight.

GO FLAMES GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :yo:

Yeah, I would think we're more likely to see Jarome Iginla come back on Friday or Saturday. But good news to hear Robyn Regehr will be back in the lineup tonight. His presence sure has been missed in the last two games.

Just heard on the fan 960 that these will be our top 2 lines tonight. Makes you wonder what the bottom two lines will be.

Tanguay.Conroy.Amonte
Huselius.Langkow.Moss

Conroy will do very well for your team! He's going to be a very valuable player for your team come playoff time!! Class act all the way!!!

abracanada 01-30-2007 08:35 PM

Conroy has helped the Flames settle down defensively. Not bad so far.

Crosby87.* 01-30-2007 09:01 PM

Wow, Conroy scored :)

NickHanson 01-30-2007 09:02 PM

Sean Avery is such a joke. I'm just praying that at some point in this game, Eric Godard whoops his ass.

The new NHL lovers adore trumpeting the fact that comebacks happen in the NHL now. What they don't tell you is WHY comebacks happen more often; specifically, that the refs automatically call three or four phantom penalties against the team with the lead and allow the opposition chance after chance to make it close.

StreakingRed 01-30-2007 10:23 PM

Yelle scores! 3-1 Flames. Much better.:handclap:

StreakingRed 01-30-2007 10:24 PM

Conroy Scores Again! 4-1 Flames!

Miko 01-30-2007 10:25 PM

Conroy with a deuce. Nice home coming

bfire 01-30-2007 10:29 PM

Just wanna say it's great to see Conroy in a place he should have always been!

And if you point it out, that greasy weasel Bettman will cut you off before casual fans have a chance to realize what you're saying.

StreakingRed 01-30-2007 10:36 PM

Well, that's a wrap. 4-1 Flames! :yo:

Great game by Craig Conroy. Too bad Roman Hamrlik's stupid penalty caused Miikka Kiprusoff the shutout, but the important thing is that we won. :handclap:

Now hopefully Daymond Langkow's injury is nothing serious.

DRL 01-30-2007 11:05 PM

noticed langkow icetime really got cut down, result of conroy trade or something else?

Popcorn_Shrimp* 01-30-2007 11:06 PM

Your team made a good move getting Conroy.

He was hurt part of the way through the game, hopefully it is nothing serious at all.

kruezer 01-30-2007 11:27 PM

As an aside, Conroy and Tanguay clicked well today, hopefully they can find themselves a RW and provide some good depth for a Huselius - Langkow - Iginla line.

abracanada 01-30-2007 11:49 PM

Conroy really freshens things up in Calgary. Much much more than I imagined he would. The Flames have much more than 6 guys capable of playing in the top 6 slot now. And Friesen/Nilson combo were showing signs of life as well. Just wait till Iggy is back and Langkow is healthy. (Then they may be able to actually win on the road).

StreakingRed 01-30-2007 11:52 PM

Craig Conroy scored more goals in one game as a Flame, than Jamie Lundmark did in 39 games. Is there any questioning whether or not this was a good deal for the Flames?
