GDT: Flyers @ Bruins 12/6

Should be a good one. Bruins are going to be in a foul mood you would think after getting thumped and pushed around badly in a 6-0 loss to the Leafs.
Bruins will be a rested team, Flyers have to travel in a snowstorm.
This is going to be a nasty game in my opinion. lots of chippy penalties. several fights.
Bruins have a pretty good PP i believe they are #5. the PK on the Bruins on the other hand is horrid, 2nd to last in the league and that i believe is going to be the differance. Amonte will get a late PP goal and the Flyers will win 2-1
Flyers 2 (Williams,Amonte)
Bruins 1 (Murray)

Who's in net tonight? I'm assuming it will be Hackett since Esche started last night.

Yes, Hackett will start.

Nikkowar 12-06-2003 01:45 PM

I'm sure that the Flyers will win again :D
Flyers-4(Gagné,Pitkanen,Roenick,Hackett ;) )
Bruins-1(someone)

Teezax 12-06-2003 01:46 PM

Let's hope we can add another 2 in the win column and try to gain a little more leverage from the Debbies as they'll have a hard game of their own battling the Sens tonight.

Flyers 3 (Kapanen, Roenick, Amonte)
Bruins 2 (Jillson, Murray)

swflyers8* 12-06-2003 02:18 PM

I see 4-3 Flyers. Game will be physical, Boston should be ticked after losing to the Qweefs, I mean Leafs 6-0. Hopefully, the Red Wings light up Eddie tonight. Go Flyers. :yo:

Boston-2(Thornton,Lapointe)
Flyers-0

Bruins are strong at home and will be fired up.

Boston is just 4-3-3-1 at home this year. They've been much better on the road so far, 8-2-1-3.

Flyers26 12-06-2003 03:14 PM

I bummed I'm not at this game, but look at the weather here, and in Boston, and you'll know why we passed!
I had great seats, where the Flyers shot twice, 12 rows off the ice!

Oh well... Let's get the two points, and get out of there healthy.
I'm would think the Bruins should have an edge to their game, with the extra rest, and the 6-0 loss to Toronto at home!

FlyersGuy69 12-06-2003 03:26 PM

why did McCarthy even drop the gloves against Brashear? he was scared to death and just hung on for dear life. well, at least he got the back of his head pounded in.

blah 12-06-2003 03:30 PM

Brashear has quick hands. Grabbed him and just whaled on him. Even tried to take McCarthys helmet off.

blah 12-06-2003 03:35 PM

2 mins till Primeau-Gill go at it again.

I don't know about that. Primeau has to stay on the ice to match Thornton.

I'm not typically a fan of home-network announcers. Justifiably or not, they tend to be quite the homers and often see the game in their own club's colors. However, I couldn't agree with Dorny more when he said that both slashing calls on the Flyers were "weak."

FlyersGuy69 12-06-2003 04:06 PM

beautiful goal by Recchi!

iceman42 12-06-2003 04:07 PM

We've played like CRAP so far and its tied.

iceman42 12-06-2003 04:16 PM

Thats much better play, still a bit sloppy but their off their heels.

blah 12-06-2003 04:24 PM

Incredible shot by Kappy.

blah 12-06-2003 05:36 PM

McCreary is an *******. Called diving on Recchi b/c Recchi yapped at him after the penalty he called on Recchi earlier in the game.

Flyers were lucky to get a point. Not only is Boston a good team but the refs gave them a ton of help.

John Flyers Fan 12-06-2003 05:36 PM

Flyers tired in the 3rd period.

Great performance by Hackett.

No doubt about it, it was totally because he was pissed at Recchi from the earlier call.

I have NHL Center Ice and the NESN feed was used for this game. The NESN guys have to be the most pathetic excuse for announcers I’ve ever heard – they don’t even have a shred of objectivity in them at all. Awful…

Anyway, the Flyers were lucky to get the one point tonight. They looked tired and the Bruins were fired up from the get go, but Hackett was excellent and that’s the main reason they came out of there with one point instead of none.

Are you saying Rechi didnt dive? Give me a break dude. The refs werent great (they never are) but you guys got away with a ton of holding and hooking, and we got away with some slashes. All in all it wasnt that bad of a game officiating wise. To say the refs gave anyone a ton of help tonight is plain stupid.

He was hooked, and he stumbled, and then he dove to try and reach the puck.

Here's a Bruin fan agreeing with you 100%. Dale Arnold and Gord Kluzak are the two most biased, cynical announcers I have ever heard. It gives me a headache having to them listen to them comment on every "missed" call and the Bruins "finally" getting a penalty called. They are absolutely brutal to listen to.

BruinsGirl 12-06-2003 07:40 PM

Well... I think both goalies were outstanding. Hackett more so. Raycroft made one bad mistake staying deep in the net but can't complain much as he kept B's in the second period when they played terrible kind of hockey.

Both teams had their up and downs and looked tired at times.( Flyers played the 2nd game in 2 nights and the B's the 3rd game in 4 nights ) but overall game was somewhat entertaining and physical.

See ya next time.
