Receiving pucks
Anybody got any hints for practising receiving fast pucks by any chance? That is - off-ice, in a hot environment, for your backyard.

I've tried tennis balls but the feel is just so different. At the moment, the best I have is a relatively smooth squishy ball, but I was hoping someone might have a different suggestion.

Golf balls are supposed to be good to practice with.

There are also those smart hockey stickhandling balls. I love those things. They have the mass of a puck and supposedly contact the stick at the same height as a puck so the handling, passing, shooting, and receiving dynamics are very similar.
