Dawes should be (+1) as well (thanks for counting, though, dank).

Interesting that these four are in exactly the same order as they were last time around. The only difference in the top 6 is actually that poor old Jarkko Immonen took such a tumble.

I like Immonen, but never voted for him. I'd say he's at the point where he just isn't a prospect anymore. He's shown he is a capable NHL player, and probably would be a regular NHL'er in most organizations. I don't understand how Pock falls off the list, but Jarkko doesn't. :dunno:

Oh, Pöck would have been high up in the list, I'm sure, especially with his play of late, but I think he's too old to be considered anymore.

Exactly, otherwise he would have easily been in my top 15.

What play???? :shakehead Pock has been scratched and Girardi passed him on the depth chart in my mind. Otherwise both players Pock and Girardi would be playing. I want Pock to play, but for some reason they keep scratching him, maybe they are not playing Pock cause he might be part of a trade.

If a player is a regular roster player, then how can he still be considered a prospect? He's 25 years old with 36 games NHL experiece. At what point does he become an NHL player?

Lampman could also be lumped in with these two, but at #25, you could argue there's guys in the organization who don't project to make it as far as Bryce has.

...

it's a nice list...with a few things that bother me:

1. Bobby Sanguinetti - I would put him above Dawes and Korpi actually.

2. Chris Holt - I still don't get how he only made it as an Honorable Mention? From watching him play, he has the potential to become a #1 goalie in the NHL. Sure, he is not as hyped as Montoya, but he has talent as well. I think Holt should have been up there in the #10 - #15 range easily. Makes me thing maybe Rangers fans just dont know enough about him.

he regressed this year imo...thats how

Taz 02-15-2007 12:51 PM

Holt is BELOW average in the ECHL explain how he can be a #1 NHL goalie

Holt was never going to be a #1 goalie...it was really just a joke around our board about him...then he stepped up and played great in the playoffs last year in HFD and people were all in love with him..

Holt isn't very good dude, maybe he'll get some time as an NHL backup, but NEVER as a number one. He's just not that skilled.

Bluenote13 02-15-2007 04:48 PM

Holt is better than what we give him credit for on this board, but calling him a #1 now is just cuckoo bananas.

dank 02-15-2007 05:12 PM

he was solid during the playoffs (i think last year?) where he may have had a shutout.

dont quote me on the shutout etc, but he was very solid for a couple games on the Pack..

either way, it'd be hard to see him as a #1, even in the AHL maybe..

nrf83 02-28-2007 07:43 AM

JHC Fly no rank on Alex Bouret yet. You had all day to insert him:amazed: I guess your new BLUEsig has gone to your head:cheers: Congrats btw, well deserved.

Jarkko Immonen 02-28-2007 08:16 AM

lol Lampman

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I think Lampman is a more polished, steady defenseman then Pock. I would prefer Bryce as the 7th d-man for the rest of this season. I like Pock but I thought he was in the line-up for his offense and his ability to put up numbers on the powerplay.
Pock has two points in 26 games and a -7 rating . IMO Lampman would put up better numbers then that. POCK hasn't been given a lot of oppurtunity to show these skills, but at this point I don't believe his assets are translating too well at the NHL level.

I wonder where Bourret would fall if we did the Ranking today?

Opinions?

Yeah thats what I was thinking as well. I love how its difficult to decide, shows the depth of the Rangers prospect pool. I can't wait to see Leslie's Top-20 prospect list in a couple of months.

in the hall 02-28-2007 10:54 AM

great job as usual fly

bourett looks like he should be ahead of Dawes

i don't really get too involved in these and i do love the depth but for all our years of sucking i do wish we had that sexy potential superstar in our system

HockeyBasedNYC 02-28-2007 11:01 AM

add bourett!

Great job FLy
