The drama of the past few hours appears to be over....sources are telling me that Rob Blake has decided to NOT waive his no trade clause...quotes to come...

Does this mean Souray is headed to Anaheim?

long night ahead...

Would you trade

Anaheim : Souray, two 3rd round pick

Montréal : Bobby Ryan, 1st anaheim & 1st tampa bay

The Ducks only have the 1st from Tampa and I doubt they would trade Ryan.

You'd have to be mental not to accept this from MTL's POV..

as mentioned above, Anaheim only has Tampa's, but still, Bobby Ryan and a first for Souray, I might accept.

I don't know, I'm not big on Bobby Ryan, he is way too slow and his production has gone down this year. The only way I'd take him is to ship him off to another team that might want him to get something more useful.

I would! the first pick could be top 20 and Ryan is quite a good prospect to have! And if we could re-sign Sheldon after that

But I don't know if Anaheim would do it...

But I was wondering, maybe Anaheim will get a foward like Guerin and trade for Craig Rivet...I think it would make more sence...

LamborGREENie 02-24-2007 07:59 PM

Yes I would ABSOLUTELY do it.
BTW, Edmonton has Anaheim's 1st Round Pick, they got it for Pronger.

Watsatheo 02-24-2007 08:55 PM

Yeah I'd do that, but I'd love Penner or Perry for Souray.

They wont do it though.

Done..but I don't think Ana has a 1st rounder this year

No, I don't believe in selling out a season when we're competing for a playoff spot. That's a loser mentality that our organisation should never accept.

Honestely, I don't like Ryan... I would rather have someone else. No I'm saying I wouldn't do it, I'm just saying that I would rather have someone else.

I feel the same. In fact I would rather have Mark Mitera than Ryan. But it would take a bit more than Mitera and a 1st to get Souray I believe.

Habs 4 Life 02-24-2007 11:01 PM

Anaheim will never do that trade but yes I would make that trade and give them even a 2nd instead of the 3rd

I'm realy reticent to trade Souray in that situation too. But if we can get something that can help now....It would be hard not to accept.
