Being against columbus just praying the guys treat this game the way they should treat all of them from here till june...A MUST WIN!

Recent injuries forcing preds into an unusual call-up???

Let's hope that we arent forced to call-up that guy!! :)

Seriously, time to sweep the BJ!!

Here's to a good game

barrytrotzsneck 03-10-2007 08:42 AM

Hopefully this one is a little smoother than the last game at the Nat(Gnat? Gnationwide?), where we were looking past the game and almost lost because of it. Need a real effort tonight, the Jackets are coming off a 3-0 blanking by Dallas, and are likely hungry for retribution.

Enoch 03-10-2007 08:49 AM

They are missing a lot of regulars....We have to win this game. If Adam Foote isn't playing, their defense is especially weak, even if Hitchcock is behind the bench.

Radulov for Czar* 03-10-2007 10:35 AM

I need 2 tickets to the game tonight, if anyone knows someone that has some extras, let me know!

Yeti 03-10-2007 12:26 PM

So is Vokoun starting tonight for sure? I have Mason on my fantasy team, and I know he played well against Calgary. If Vokoun is starting, I'll sit Mason.

Thanks!

nothing is official until they take the ice. however we do know that mason started thursday. and since vokoun has come back to play, mason has not started 2 games in a row. thus it is reasonable to assume that vokoun will start. also we don't have another game until the tuesday/wednesday back-2-back games with detroit(which both goalies may play start). so unless something strange is going on, i doubt vokoun would get a week between starts since he is not hurting or playing bad.

of course you can keep checking the local rag to see. they will usually announce some game day notes(including scratches and starting goalies) just prior to game time:

Everyone please note that tonight the Predators Foundation is running a children's book drive. They are looking for new or "gently" used children's books. So look around the house and bring a couple of books that have been sitting on your shelf collecting dust recently to donate for a good cause.

In exchange for their donation, donors are being rewarded with an "exclusive" discount ticket voucher for a future game.

Our defense has actually been better since Foote has been out. He's got the worst +/- of all of our defensemen. However even if we had him I doubt it would change the fate of this game from being what we all know will happen.

I'll be there tonight, with books in hand. With only 100 tix left, the crowd should be great and hopefully loud as hell. NO excuses.

Vokoun in net.

Zidlicky game time decision [I know what my decision would be]...

Game sold out.

larsmark 03-10-2007 05:02 PM

Forsberg playing?

Edit: Ehh, I just read that article about Zidlicky so apperently he isn't playing. That sucks.

Roger Explosion 03-10-2007 05:58 PM

Lets go Preds! :yo:

barrytrotzsneck 03-10-2007 07:29 PM

I missed the first two goals(Brule and Kariya)

What were they like?

lol i missed them too....and nature just happened to call during legwand's goal :shakehead

Hopefully Trotz realises that Kariya + legwand= production on most nights and that when Forsberg returns the only time he sees Paul Kariya is on the powerplay....

Jovavic 03-10-2007 07:52 PM

Preds look hungry and are jumping on the turnovers the Jackets are providing. Radulov looks like a keeper :)

trotzian brow 03-10-2007 08:16 PM

Brule's goal was brutal. He was left all alone in front of Vokoun. He picked up his own rebound and slid it by an outstretched Vokoun...Zidlicky, Kimmo, Abid, Fiddler, and ? were on the ice for that one.

Kariya was just skating around the goal as Legwand was on his stomach trying to slide it by Norrena. Kariya was right there to tap it in for the tying goal.

barrytrotzsneck 03-10-2007 09:22 PM

Wow, BRUTAL call on Timonen, late...after about 3 obvious missed calls in the third alone that would have given us PPs

We have been pretty bad here in the third, trying to play defensive hockey...one goal lead isn't enough for that.

barrytrotzsneck 03-10-2007 09:34 PM

Glad we could hold on, there...

Incredibly boring game, after Thursday.

PeterAngelo 03-10-2007 09:36 PM

BORING game. Especially after missing the opening 10 mins. ah well important thing is the 2 points. Kudos to Vokoun, Legwand and Kariya.

Crazyhorse 03-10-2007 10:33 PM

The Kariya-line with Legwand is better, its very obvious. Why not atleast try Forsberg with Radulov? I mean, people can be great great friends, but that doesn't mean that they will be the perfect playing match.
If Trotz got some coaching awareness, he will realize that Peter is better off with somebody else.

braindead 03-10-2007 10:50 PM

It was not a boring game at all in person. The arena was buzzing and there was a lot of action even given the score. Tootoo looks like he has found a 6th gear now buzzing around out there.

I thought Zids had a much better game tonight and, if I noticed correctly, he was not returned to the first PP unit. Can someone confirm?

I would love to see a Harts, Forsberg, Rads line when everyone is healthy but we shall see.

It was boring in the sense that we went into the protect-the-lead shell about midway through the second, and spent most of the third in our own end, in a 1-2-2(something that against stronger teams is typically a recipe for disaster in a one-goal game)
