Realsiticly what is that teams potential? could they make a name for themselves? I unfortunately am pretty ignorant when it comes to British hockey, especially junior players. Any info would be much appreciated!!!

I'm guessing a 3rd place finish, behind Lithuania and Croatia but ahead of Korea, South Africa and Serbia Montenegro. To be honest it's probably for the best we don't get promoted this year. Their are some FBNL regulars and a couple of EIHL fringe players so they could cause a couple of upsets.

don't get promoted? if they are capable of upsets wouldn't it be an idea to get them promotoed?

Capable of upsets as in beating Croatia or Lithuania, not being able to hold their own at a higher level against Germany, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Latvia, Denmark, France, Belarus and Norway. I'm not saying we shouldn't go for promtion, obviously we should win as many games as possible, but a year of pastings by better teams next year wouldn't be good for us. We need a good year with a couple of good wins and then make a promotion run next season when our youngsters will have more pro experience.

Well we never did do things the easy way :) going for promotion now.

Crunch match vs the surprising Koreans today. One thing that worries me is that both teams played last night but Korea gets to stay at the Kaunas rink where they've played all tourney and the British have to travel there to play. Hope its not far.

I'd hope for promotion and fight to stay in the next league. I think we could beat one team in the league and that would be enough.

I can't think about this game. The idea of losing to Korea makes me really nervous. When did the Koreans develop a hockey program like that? If we do win promotion we must not go into Germany's group, that could be unbearable.

Just a little FYI GB beat Korea 2-0, goals scored in the 1st and 2nd periods. I don't have any other details yet.
