Former Chicago Blackhawks defenseman and coach Keith Magnuson was killed in an auto accident in suburban Toronto Monday, the team said. He was 56.

you'd think the heatley crash would have taught a lesson :(

dying in a car crash coming back from a funeral, now that's pretty strange

Douggy 12-16-2003 07:12 AM

When are people going to learn that they aren't above the influence of alcohol when driving?? People who drink and drive deserve a smack on the head.

Ramage suffered a broken femur, amongst other minor injuries,
I wouldn't call a broken femur minor.

Ramage had a drinking problem in the NHL didnt he?

OHLArenaGuide 12-17-2003 07:15 AM

I don't believe so. Former Flames teammate Perry Berezan says that Ramage was never one to drink and drive... it seems that one unfortunate lapse in judgment has meant that a man is dead. My condolences to Magnusson's family.

He may never want to go sober after this

Linky

Don't get me wrong here but how is this not Ramages fault? He was drinking and driving and killed a man in the process.

Leaf Lander 12-19-2003 04:38 AM

the roads were quite icyy from what i was hearing

Does that excuse him from the fact that he was drunk? Icy roads or not drinking and driving is illegal and it is his fault that the other fellow is dead.
