Buffalo need a new goalie. proposals??

proposals for a new goalie to buffalo?

my only thought would be noronen to Caps for Kolzig. but that's a major rip to them, and we get about $6mill in salary. we would need to ditch Zhitnik as well.

anybody?

With all due respect, stop watching Robitaille on TV. Our problem is not goaltending. Yes, our goalies let in a few too many soft goals, but they have no chance to get into a rhythm. Ruff is ruining this team and all the talent on the team. Top goalies need to play and play often, they get better with more playing time and more starts. Ruff needs to make a commitment and stick to a goalie... for good or for worse.

Besides, most of the goals are not soft, but are being scored by wide open people in front of our own net. Our defense is where we need a serious upgrade. We don't have a single "stay at home defenseman" who is willing to stand in take the body and keep the front of the net clear.

Now that is what we need.

We need the old Jay Mckee back after he returns from his injury, coupled with better OOOOOOffensive production and we'll be fine.

And I always thought Buffalo needed to unload a couple of goalies...

Sorry, but Noronen's last 5 goals were all soft. And he can't complain about lack of ice time recently.

The Sabres have banked on one of Biron, Noronen, and Miller stepping up and being an above average NHL goaltender this season. But it hasn't happened.

With the goal of this team heading into the season being making the playoffs this year, there needs to be some serious decisions made soon.

Ownership needs to decide whether they want to invest more of the team's future and more money into making the playoffs this year. Or, they can decide to bag it and start the fire sale.

But with each passing week it's becoming more and more obvious that this team isn't going to make the jump from the 5th worst team in the NHL last season, to making the playoffs, by keeping the payroll about the same and replacing Gratton, Barnes, Warrener, and Varada with Briere, Drury, and Delmore.

Noronen has improved his play since he's gotten more playing time.

Glad to see he didn't give up any weak goals last night.

not weak, but stoppable and the first was a "terrible goal" in the words of lindy ruff.

Noronen could have won the game for us. but he lost it for us.

infact in the last 2 games he SHOULD have stopped EVERY SHOT!

time to trade this kid for...Gerber?

I wouldn't deal Noronen. I would deal Biron. The problem is he has no trade value right now.

the sabres problem is not goaltending.. its lack of scoring...
