who sits tomorrow?

Assuming Renney wants to play Prucha, who sits. Hollweg logged 7 minutes, zeroshots, minus 2... Isbister logged 16 min., zero shots. Ortmeyer, 11 minutes and 4 PIMs. I say Hollweg should sit, You guys?

Agreed, Renny has to know he miscalculated last night, doesn't he?

FLYLine24 04-04-2007 05:09 PM

For me this is an easy choice. Orr.

Habs and Rangers are both looking to win, not take runs and cheapshots at other players. We need skill in this game.

uvm44 04-04-2007 05:09 PM

Orr should sit, no question.

My vote as well.

I actually vote Ortmeyer.

He needs a game off. Just not all there right now and taking some REALLY bad penalties.

You have a point there, we cant give Montreal chances on the PP, can both Orr and Orts sit ?lol

BTW I love the "Lundqvist is satan"....DID YOU SEE WHAT HE DID TO THAT POOR GIRL!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking Orts as well, but i'd rather have one of our best PKers on the team vs the #1 PP in the league.

Keep Orts on the 4th line though in place of Orr so Orts can just stick to the defense of the game and not take bad penalties in the offensive zone (where most of his penalties seem to occur)

I actually really REALLY think he just needs a complete day off. He just looks tired and such right now and I think it's from stepping right in after being out all that time.

I love the guy and I want him re-signed, but I trully would rather have him sit tomorrow even over Colton Orr.

Orr or Hollweg should sit.

Without a doubt, Orr...I would like to see a fairly fast skating and good forechecking line like Holly-Betts-Orts get going. (none of these bottom 4 have been playin well after doing so for awhile)....Just like they were ourt best line in the POs last year...Probably too late thought and,.Unfortunately, it's probably Prucha that will be on the 4th line if you read Sam W's blog...

WhipNash27 04-04-2007 07:08 PM

Yep, Prucha will be on the 4th line because Renney can't buy a clue.

Ortmeyer can't score worth a crap and plays on a line with Cullen and Callahan.

Fletch 04-04-2007 07:34 PM

Ortmeyer...

seems to have had a tough time with the Isles - 2 minors in each of the last two games - although those are basically the only penalties he's had in about a month. I believe he's needed, or his PK abilities will be needed, in the playoffs and thus should keep his skills somewhat honed...but on a fourth line.

Merlin401 04-04-2007 08:41 PM

Montreal is very soft. Orr probably wont be particularly needed. I like to see him in almost all the time, but this game there doesn't seem to be a need.

In general, Isbister/Orr/Hollweg/Ortmeyer/Betts... pick the one from the list to sit on any given night and spread it around. If all those guys play ~4 of every 5 games, everyone's happy.

nyr7andcounting 04-04-2007 08:43 PM

Ortmeyer or Orr. Depends if we feel we need a fighter or not. Against Montreal, probably not so Ortmeyer plays.

As hard as Ortmeyer plays I have a feeling this could be his last year with the Rangers. The effort he gives stood out in his first couple years because the rest of the team was so old and lazy. Now we have a ton of guys who play the same game and they all have more potential than Orts.

NYROrtsFan 04-04-2007 08:45 PM

Sit Orr.

Huge fan of him but he isn't needed at this point.

Plus it allows for the other lines to have much more balance too.

This one gets my vote.

Lundqvist=Vezina 04-04-2007 11:42 PM

I don't think it will be Prucha again because I read in Dellpina's article that Renney dressed Hollweg and Orr because he was expecting a rough game

Balej20* 04-04-2007 11:44 PM

Yea Orr sits, he's useless unless he fights. That 4th line is too damn slow with him on it.

True Blue 04-05-2007 04:12 PM

I just can't see how Orr is necessary from here on it.

MrAlfie 04-05-2007 04:15 PM

i dont know where i read it but i just did and it says Strudwick and Orr will sit tonight

VJ Rangerfan 04-05-2007 04:55 PM

I'd think Orr would sit.

But I REALLY hope that Renney has the sense to drop Orty to the 4th line and reunite the HBO line and put Prucha on the 3rd line.

I had read on Weinman's blog that Prucha had been practicing with the 4th line and Orr was practicing with Struds who will both likely sit tonight

True Blue Bleed Blue 04-05-2007 05:38 PM

Orr and Strudwick
