TSK, help me out here, I don't really get the trades. One team makes an offer to another team involving 04 draft picks and players? So you want us to pretend we've been the GM's for a while, and act as if we would in real life if faced with the trade?

eSabre 12-22-2003 04:41 PM

Move this to the Mock Draft Board

thestonedkoala 12-22-2003 04:47 PM

What mock draft board?

And yes sundinfan13, just think of yourself as a GM of the team.

And how do you suggest we do that. The draft is weighted, I better get my 25% ;)

Jeffrey 12-22-2003 05:51 PM

DAMN ! why they don't put a mock draft board as a sub division of the prospect board! nobody, came here !!!
and that won't change anything !!

kacz 12-23-2003 06:28 AM

So when is Alexei Kovalev going to make his pick?

The Pittsburgh Penguins would like to thank this fine city for hosting the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, and would like to congratulate the Stanley Cup Champions for their fine effort in the playoffs.

With the first overall selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins would like to select, from Dynamo Moscow, Right Winger, Alexander Ovechkin

thestonedkoala 12-23-2003 10:43 AM

Frolov your up next!

Frolov 12-25-2003 11:28 AM

With the 2nd overall pick on the 2004 draft, the Columbus Blue Jackets select Rostislav Olesz

Rostislav Olesz
Position: Center/left wing
Team: HC Vitkovice
Birthdate: October 10th, 1985
Height: 6'1''
Weight: 198 lbs.
Shoots: L
NHL draft: 2004 eligible

A player without any glaring weakness, Olesz is a character guy who gives everything to the team's success. He is well-balanced and always showing a nasty edge in his play. Olesz plays a combative style and is a good hitter. He is a valuable asset to both powerplay and penalty killing units. A solid skater with a decent agility, Olesz has a sharp hockey sense and vision. Also very good in the faceoff circle, he is a smart passer and a lethal finisher. He possesses a good variety of shots, he could only fire the puck more often. Olesz impresses with his strong defensive awareness, he limits the opposing players' options effectively. A mature player, he doesn't tend to take an odd shift off and even if he probably won't challenge the consensus first overall pick in 2004, Russian phenom Alexander Ovechkin, he is a name to remember for the top 5.

Marshall 12-25-2003 01:19 PM

With the 3rd overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the Washington Capitals select, from the Medicine Hat Tigers, defenseman Cam Barker.

Cam Barker
Date of Birth: April 4, 1986
Hometown: Winnipeg, MB
Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 210 lbs

Reasoning: The Caps lack a true #1 defenseman prospect, and Barker is the best in the draft, bringing size and skill to the blue-line.

Ruckus007 12-25-2003 01:58 PM

The Buffalo Sabres are accepting offers for the 5th overall pick thank you very much Marshall.

Teemu 12-25-2003 06:47 PM

likewise, the chicago blackhawks will listen to offers for the 4th overall pick

sundinfan13 12-25-2003 06:53 PM

If anyone in the top 10 is interested, I'm willing to trade the NJ Devils pick along with Scott Gomez, Brian Gionta, and Colin White for a top 10 pick.

Chaos 12-25-2003 07:00 PM

Stars are looking to move into the top 5. Have the #13 overall pick plus just about any roster player outside of Morrow for it.

Maithz 12-26-2003 09:23 AM

Ottawa want to Trade Rachunek , Smolinski and some of other player along with their 1st pick for a top 5 pick , if anyone are interested ? Send me a PM , I will listen all offer
