I'd go on a limb and say we win this won 3-2.

It will be a tough one with the kind of offense the Caps have. The blueliners will have to do one heck of a job to get us out of a potential mess.

fredez 12-23-2003 10:13 AM

Nice preview!

Malakhov 12-23-2003 10:23 AM

What's the mirc habs room btw? Wich network, channel name?

Capitano 12-23-2003 10:23 AM

This game is key for us. We HAVE to put some consecutive wins on the board to build some confidence. The team is playing pretty consistent hockey right now so if we get a few wins in a row their confidence will be even higher, and we'll get the bounces for a change.

Habs 3 Caps 2 in OT

Cap

Guy Caballero 12-23-2003 10:26 AM

Habs 5-3. Offense will be clicking against the pathetic Washington D but they will catch Garon off guard on a goal or two.

koivu pots 2, bulis 1, ribiero 1, dags 1

Gazette this morning said Perrault's groin is still sore and although he made the trip he is doubtful for tonight. Can't see CJ rushing him into the lineup when we're doing fine without him.

If Garon has another soft game it could be a long time before we see him again.

Zed and Bulis are both going to score against their own team.

4-2 Habs

I was right last night for the first time since...well, ever. Hopefully I can kame it two in a row.

Malakhov 12-23-2003 11:39 AM

I hope Zednik does well tonight. I'm scared about him since they took him off Koivu's line, he just isn't the same.

I like Yannic. He's a nice guy, a useful player, and a good goalscorer. With the emergence of Ryder and Dagenais as shooters, though, he simply doesn't fit anymore. I wish him the best wherever he ends up.

#44_delivers 12-23-2003 11:50 AM

i hope our power play keeps up its resergence as of late
5-3 habs
zednik, ryder, koivu, souray,bulis

D้mon Blond 12-23-2003 11:52 AM

I think our first line will give us a nice Christmas gift and explode tonight.

4-2 habs, 3 points for Koivu, 2 each Ryder and Bulis

All Hail the Sacred Pretzel so we can win two in a row since... forever!

prabak11 12-23-2003 12:49 PM

it will be 5-3 for the caps :dunno:

NWT Habs Fan 12-23-2003 01:46 PM

4-2 Habs, taking advantage of Washington's porous defence with our chances. Garon will give up two, but the team will gel around him with another decent overall effort. Keys to the game:

1. Keep out of the penalty box to keep Caps PP off the ice.

2. Take advantage of weak Caps D and get to Olie early.

Here's hoping you are as correct as you were yesterday! (4-3 penguins)

Big night offensively in front of Garon: 5-2 Habs.

danboulie 12-23-2003 02:07 PM

Montreal 4, Washington 2

I don't consider myself a violent person, but maybe after inhaling too many sparks from the grinder today something in my brain broke. CAPITAL PUNISHMENT ALL THE WAY!

gohabsgo2010 12-23-2003 02:40 PM

And the Bionic Boy rings a point shot off of the post.

OH! What a play by Saku in tight to end the first, as he slid it just wide. The most impressive part about that shift though, was that little backhand pass he flicked to Quintal in his own zone. Koivu wasn't even looking, but either you've got that sense or you don't.

Bad penalty by Dags, by the way. It would have been nice to stay on the PP.

Malakhov 12-23-2003 02:46 PM

Nice second effort by Koivu at the end of the 1st period.
Awfull 1st period overall though.

topshelf 12-23-2003 02:53 PM

bad bad turnovers by Dackell and Quintal..

But a nice play by Koivu in the end, and good hard shot by Souray in the post.. that one should've been a goal :handclap:

But overall, not very impressive, hope the step it up in the coming periods.
