Forsberg and Kariya-past peak?

10 years ago they would have been unbelievable partnership in same line...how about now? Forsberg played quiet season and is Kariya fading away?

I dont think so. They play different style of game. Forsberg slows everything down to his liking whearas Kariya has more of a darting style. Theres no doubt both players past injuries are catching up to them. I would compare Kariya's style to that of Sakic and when Forsberg was in Denver he and Sakic had some chemistry but not to the level everyone would expect.

there is no question that both players are past their peak.

the sick thing is, even past his peak foppa can average a ppg!

i never felt the two had a good style for each other. one of the best lines i saw foppa on was in colorado. he skated with drury and deadmarsh. their style of play matched foppa's game better.

as stated above, karyia likes to dart and go fast. plus he has become more of a play maker and less of a finisher in his later years.

both are past their peak, but they are still highly above many players in the NHL.

Forsberg seemed to be at his best with Hartnell\Fiddler and Radulov.

They are both playmakers and Forsberg loves to slow the game down and cycle on the boards, and Kariya is loves to play fast and cycle off the boards to the player's stick. They are both great players but they play the exact opposite, but I think they're both good enough to have 100 points seasons together if they had the time.
