I think the title pretty much sums up Ottawa's "#1" goalie.

*sigh* Enough bandwaggoning. If Lalime has an unbelievable game next game you'll forget about yesterday's game completely and start nominating him for the Vezina. Lalime has always been good when it counts and he is NOT a weakness on this team. Last year the top 4 teams in the NHL in goal differential were the top 4 teams in points in the same order. NO TEAM in the top 7 differed more than 3 spots from their respective goal differential ranking. The sens are #2 in goal differential - if they keep that up throughout the season probability dictates that they will be #2 overall and NO WORSE THAN 5th best. There is nothing to worry about. The sens will start winning soon enough and will blow past Toronto in no time.

Inconsistent is the word that comes to mind with Patty, but that is pretty much what can be said about the whole team.

Lalime had a rough game tonight, but was great the last two. It doesn’t help him that Leschyschyn and Hnidy look lost out there together. That is a scary pairing right now. Let Brookbank play now.

Hnidy especially was terrible. I wouldn't mind seeing the guy placed on waivers. We must haev guys that are more competent than he is.

Though I would admit the 3rd Pitts goal was a little shaky, the first two Lalime could not be faulted on. Dont just look at the 3 goals on 11 shots and say he sucks.

Take a look at the replay of Pittsburgh's 2nd goal. Kotsopolous is ALL ALONE in front because superstar to be Spezza cant keep up with him going to the net.
For all of you looking at this guy Spezza as the next coming, pay attention not just to the goal he scored, but to the goal he gave up. Understand why Martin has been so reluctant to play him before this year? He is not a good defensive player, not by a long shot.

My opinion......Lalime is a very good, but probably not great goalie. He needs support from his teammates, and many many times this year, he is not getting it. And he himself has been fairly inconsistent too, to be fair.

I personally am very sick of him. Sure he stole us a point against NYR...but last night...DAAAAAAAAMN.

He's played like a 2nd tier backup all year so far. What the heck is wrong with him?

He'll play one amazing game...then stink the joint up for the next 3...

We can't even fathom going into the playoffs with Lalime in this state.

I think it might be time to start shopping Mr. Lalime around a little. He's still cheap...has been relatively good in the past, but we need someone who we can count on.

I'm pretty sure that the players are quickly losing confidence in him.

Here's an idea to send a message to Patreeeeek.

Bring up Emery...send Lalime to the AHL for a "conditioning stint" to get his head straight...Let him ride the bus for a few weeks...

Lalime can't be sent to the AHL. Unless you want to lose him to waivers.

Yes he can...it's called conditioning...you can send a player that is on a one way contract to the AHL for about 2 weeks without having to place them on waivers.

Yeah, but the player has to agree to the conditioning assignment, and I don't think Patty would accept that slap on the face.
