If PK doesnt re-sign...

Assuming PK doesn't re-sign and assuming we have his 4.5M per year to sign and assuming we use the $ to upgrade our 3rd/4th line rather than our D or a top 6 guy, who do you go after?

Rather than posting a separate thread, would anyone go after Adam Hall or Scott Walker or any other former Pred that I can't think of?

Would anyone spend the $ on one D-man?

PK has refused to entertain any offers to go back to his former team.

Walker just re-signed with the Canes, and Hall isn't really a replacement. We kind of HAVE to make at least one money signing, because we're so far under the floor. Now...with the situation with ownership in flux, that could be hard...so it might mean trading prospects\picks for an expensive player, but it seems we put all our eggs in the Kariya basket.

it seems like he really likes it in nashville i bet he resigns. he is still just as good as anybody him a 4.5 mill is a bargain. he is a pretty private person at least in nashville he doesnt have to worry about being spotted.

I'd take Hall back to play on the 3rd or, more likely, the 4th line.

I don't think we need a big $ player-- I'd rather spread it among 2 or 3 upgrades to the 3rd/4th line.

I think there are guys like that who would happily come to Nashville when the big ticket guys wouldn't.

Yeah, this was already in the other Kariya thread.

I'd rather have 3 "good" players than one Kariya, so hopefully that's how it plays out.

Yeah that's a nice thought and all, but which "good" players are we going to convince to sign here with the chance that the team won't be here after a year?

I just think this whole thing has screwed us over.

Personally, I wish that, since he says he likes it so much here, Kariya would sign for one year and then see what happens with the team/attendance and then decide. If we meet the att. mark then he could sign for the long term/retirement deal and if we move, then he can go UFA.
