Mason signs 2 year extension

2 years, 6 million dollars, according to Eklund

Love this signing, with Hartnell gone, Mase is my favorite Pred. :handclap::handclap:

Roger Explosion 06-28-2007 06:37 PM

Great news! Mason is quickly becoming my favourite Predator.

barrytrotzsneck 06-28-2007 06:46 PM

"Eklund" reports, again,

The Preds may be more active than some are imagining, though the only name he mentions is,

sigh,

Yanic "No Panic" Perreault

Center seems like the least of our needs, especially a one-dimensional guy like Yanic. In a perfect world, I'd like to see us use 3-4 million, the money that might have gone to Kariya, to sign a d-man..then spend up to the floor to fill out our lower lines.

Testify 06-28-2007 07:04 PM

What!!!! no more nopanic perreault plz :(

ManlyStanley* 06-28-2007 07:08 PM

and showed some serious class by buying 20 season tickets... :handclap:
Way to go Mason

This wasn't even on the Predators site.

But this is great! Finally some good news!

You know, Leggy is my favorite, but the more I read about Mason and how much he loves it here and is willing to do whatever he can to ensure the team stays, well, I like him more and more everyday. He may have moved passed Weber for #2 favorite!

MASON FOR PRESIDENT! :handclap:

handtrick 06-29-2007 06:13 AM

Well, Well, Well...finally some good news.

Mason has the personality and fan focus to become the face of this franchise.
I hope he stays out in front of the effort to keep the Preds in Nashville. He is the type of guy that I could see Nasvillians rallying around.
I would love him to do a commericial for the Preds asking if the viewer has done his or her part to help the team stay in Nashville sighting how much he loves it here...

I'm glad Mason is going to be with us the next three years....hopefully, all of which are here in Nashville.

Still not officially confirmed, hmm.

Anyways, what's your take on backup situation? Do you think they're content with Rinne or could they be looking for an option?

lstcyr 06-29-2007 12:10 PM

I think Rinne is the back-up and we'll see some stop gap measures in Milwaukee.

I read somewhere that it cannot be confirmed until free agency begins due to the CBA's language on contract extensions.

On 104.5 today he said it was likely to be done and announced officially on July 1st.

JussiM 06-30-2007 12:43 AM

Ok, that makes sense. :)
