He's not getting any ice time behind RW's like Balej, Perezhogin and Ferland. His situation is similar to Balej's last year who was stuck behind Ward, Ryder and others.

milroy is a bust!

Yea yea. And last year Balej was a bust because he didn't get any ice time. What d'ya know. Playing on the first line and Balej is banging in goals. Guess what. So will Milroy next year when Balej and Pleks move on to the Habs and Milroy gets PP and first line time.

The very best case would see him becoming a 2nd liner IMO. He has a very good wrist shot but his speed needs to be worked on. I could see him realizing he needs to become a solid grinder to make it to the NHL and settling into a 3rd/4th line role.

Ryder never got any icetime his 1st couple of years in the AHL either. But when he got the time, he made the most of it. Balej tis season. Next season Milroy?

Many players at all levels tend to struggle when they miss camp/preseason, as they have a hard time finding their legs after the first couple of games. Andrew Archer is in the same boat as Milroy, both are coming back from injury, both have struggled at times, and with a deep team Jarvis has the luxury to play others in their place.

The Dogs are led in scoring by Balej and Plekanec, both 2nd year players. Hopefully for us, Milroy, Archer and Ferland all have a much bigger role with the team next year, getting more ice time.

He's getting a regular shift on the 4th line with Blouin and Ferland, not exactly a lot to work with for Milroy. Jarvis is playing Milroy on the 2nd PP unit sometimes, but is rather ineffective. To call him a bust not even halfway through his first season, in which he hasn't been dressed for some of the games, is absurd. Like other posters have said, some players just have to get accustomed to the different style of play. Have patience with these guys, Ryder is the prime example of this.
On his potential, third line is his maximum potential IMO, but its hard to tell at this stage.

Everytime I saw Milroy I thought that his skating and his work ethic needed improvement. Is this still true?

Off topic but are you and Oranje fan (I assume so)? I am a huge fan of the Oranje.

Not sure about his work ethic but I agree with you that his skating need improvement.

I would say Milroy's top end potential is to be a player like Schaefer. I find their style and skating to be very similar.
