how to finish well

ok i got down the stick handling (only thing that i have over alot of my peers) and yeah. passing shooting etc arent my greatest skills.. i cant seem to think of what to do when im in a shootout move or passing a defender sometimes. but most of the time i get through so any help on how to get a better vision of what to do?

Only thing I can recommend is to try and slow your game down and focus more on reading the play. This will let you notice players tendencies and let you make a smarter play. You might not be as fast as before but it will allow your lesser skills to be more effective. Once you are comfortable making plays while skating, try speeding up a bit, add in some of your natural stick handling and you'll have a more complete game. Also, one note on that is don't panic on the ice because that will get you discouraged and that won't help. If you get the puck picked off you a few times, it'll help you prevent that down the road.
