Point scoring defensemen?

Who's gonna provide scoring from the blue line for the Caps and who is going to man the points on the power play?

Poti will be on the first PP unit and Pothier on the 2nd I would think. If Green is here he'll be part of the PP obviously.

I see that Mike Green has had six points in four pre-season games.

Was he on the top pairing and is more of the same expected from him this season?

I imagine Poti is gonna get lots of time on the PP.
What about Pothier?

Thanks

Edit: Wow, usiel, it's like you read my mind!
I didn't see your post until after I sent the one above.

So, Mike Green isn't a lock to make the team?

Thanks again.

Well they were experimenting a lot this TC (obviously) with various D pairing combos and yes Green did well points wise this TC though one can't place much stock in pre-season points. AO didn't score any points last pre-season and he ended up with 46 goals, heh.

I would hope that we would see this:

Poti-Green PP1
Pothier-Jurcina/Mo PP2

I envisioned that Boomer was going to be on our second pairing. Seeing Pothier over at left point scares me as well as all our other righty D men. Last year showed they struggle there with keep ins coming around the boards - plain and simple. Pothier did not show as a PP guy at all last year. Maybe Schultz can learn to shoot?? At least we have Poti this year but at left point we are going to be cycling forwards yet again IMO. That said I want 2 Dmen on the ice when the PP ends.

Semin Green
Poti Jurcina

Poti - 55 pts
Green - 45 pts
Jurcina - 40 pts
Pots - 20
Schultz - 10

Maybe the fantasy hockey thread sticky needs to be in flashing lights. ;)

Yah, it doesn't appear to be working.
