Esche or Hackett

If you had to choose, who would you want as your #1 goalie? I ask this question because I see Esche in for 2 games then Hackett and no real #1 man. Who do you (the fans) like?

There's no "none of the above" choice....

HAHAHA I knew people would ask that, I am just trying to find out (IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONE) who would it be, i know a lot of people will ask for the none of the above. Thanks.

Agreed, any chance this poll could be made public so we can see if its Flyers fans or other teams fans voting for Hackett? I cant imagine any sane Philly fan would choose Hackett.

Gagnefan12 01-13-2004 03:59 AM

Hackett scks Esche RULES!

hackett is old and washed up. Esche is a good butterfly goalie who makes it a challenge for the other team to score while hackett lets all the easy shots in.

FearTheFlyers 01-13-2004 06:21 AM

Ok...who voted for Hackett?????????????????????!!!!

Blindside9711 01-13-2004 06:31 AM

Hack-job doesn't even qualify as a goalie anymore... we could get some wino off the street and call him "our back-up goalie" and I'd have more faith in the wino than Hackett.
If I have to choose, Esche, hands down. He hasn't played bad at all, the rest of the team just can't give him any goal support.

FlyersGuy69 01-13-2004 07:16 AM

Esche

it's a no-brainer right now who is playing better.

Rex88 01-13-2004 07:33 AM

He is playing better and you MUST find out if he can handle the job

BrimFullofAsham45 01-13-2004 01:17 PM

I can't believe anyone voted Hackett

Dar 01-13-2004 01:49 PM

Hackett. For obvious reasons. :D

Brad* 01-13-2004 01:53 PM

Esche, without hesitation.

You got that right! Another Hack-job here against the Sabres - not that the rest of these a** clowns are helping at all!

Brad* 01-13-2004 05:53 PM

23 votes Esche, 4 votes Hackett.

It looks like Hackett and his family visit HFBoards.

His own family voted for Esche? Ouch...

Winston Wolf 01-13-2004 06:15 PM

Personally, I hope they both break their legs. :p
Neither will take us too far.

Actually, Esche is more of a stand-up goalie who plays the angles well. His biggest flaw is his rebound control, but he's young enough to correct that given proper coaching.

I'd take him every day of the week over Hackett.

Is anyone else as suprised as I am that Hackett's save percentage is even still that high?
