How to become a better hitter?
How could I become a better hitter, and not strength wise but actually landing hits and practicing them?

best tips i've had is to not try and hit! If you go for the big hit, more often than not you'll end up missing, so let them come to you then bump 'em.

Another thing you can do is to keep poking their stick etc, and the second they look down...

Learn to anticipate the play -- Keep your eyes moving and watch the play develop. Don't prepare to make the hit too early because you will tend to make the hit even though it isn't the best option. If the player carrying the puck is skating near the boards, gradually move towards the boards if you are confident that he isn't going to turn the other way and blow past you. Then move into him. For an open ice hit, watch for him looking at the puck, and demolish him. You're better off keeping the player to the outside and allowing him to run out of territory.

Maintain good gap control. Match the players speed and keep about a long stick length gap. Track the player, keep him to the outside and then gradually close the gap for the hit.

Hitting is an art. Great hitters are hard to find. But yeah best advice is to try not to force the hits, just let them come.

Being centered is a key, also having great balance. If you have great balance and centered you will be able to make and take hits.

Do not go lookin for hits, but if its there hit them.
Also, along the boards try and hit in front of them so they fall back. When you hit them directly when they are against the boards you will just bounce back.
