Maxime Daigneault
Hey guys, I was just wondering how Maxime Daigneault was doing in Milwaukee. I remember he was a big time goalie prospect ranked up there with the Lehtonens and Fleurys of the world a few years ago, but slipped in the draft and disappointed with Washington. I read an article on him in a magazine where he expressed optimism for an NHL career in the future. How is he doing this season? Is he in Nashville's plans at all?

Rinne is the prospect we had pegged to next hit Nashville, and we just took 2nd rounder J. Smith to address the system need (highest ranked goalie prospect last draft). I suspect we signed him simply because we had questions on the backup NHL slot, which Ellis has since locked down. This in turn kicked Rinne back to the AHL. To be honest, I do not see much room for Daigenault, but who knows what can happen by the end of the year.

I believe Daigneault has only played 3 games in Milwaukee thus far with Rinne getting all of the other starts. Rinne missed a lot of time last season in his development and I think that they are leaning on Pekka to make up that time missed.
