I must admit, I'm pumped to see how Jagr plays. I don't like the way this team does buiness, even though i think this is a good deal for the... "team".

4th times' a charm? :dunno:

or...

Jagr will look sexy in a Ranger uniform

and after everything is sumed up
thats what matters

Hire Sather 01-24-2004 02:45 PM

Bump so nobody starts a new one :)

Barnaby 01-24-2004 03:02 PM

I think this could happen...

Simon-Lindros-Kovalev
Rucinsky-Nedved-Jagr
Ortmeyer-Holik-Barnaby

Simon has shown good hands and can park in front better then Barnaby could... plus he plays the left side. If anyone messes with Lindros he's also more intimdating then Barnaby. Kovalev should get room to move with two monsters driving to the net.

Nedved line speaks for itself.... could put up alot of points and finally gives us two legitimate scoring lines.

I'd like to see Ortmeyer move up... I think its obvious Hlavac would suck on a checking line...

SHould

Ottawa is certainly not the ideal team to be playing for Jagr's debut.

Too bad Fishstix aren't on the menu tonight.

Yea, no freebee wins tonight. Ottawa 4-2

I hope MSG switches the Knicks and Rangers broadcast for us DTV owners.

Hire Sather 01-24-2004 04:58 PM

ill say 5-4 Rangers. Jagr (2), Messier, Lindros, Nedved. Hopefully...

Hey! Hey! Not so fast!

Us southern Sens fans are only getting the MSG feed tonight, so no switching broadcasts please.

Barnaby 01-24-2004 05:03 PM

I have a terrible feeling that Martin Havlat will eat us alive tonight with two goals and an assist..

I can see it now.... Havlat quickly took the juice out of Jagr's Ranger debut..

Fletch 01-24-2004 05:33 PM

You Southerners want the switch...

the game's on Metro; Knicks are on MSG tonight and the Isles are on Fox.

MSG has the Knicks vr Heat on MSG tonight. Last year when the Rangers traded for Kovalev it was the same situation except the switched channels. It doesn't look like they'll be doing that tonight.

Sadly, many more than those who care about hockey.

This Metro crap goes both ways. If the Rangers were at the Garden and the Knicks on the road, the Rangers would be on MSG and the Knicks on Metro. So its not like theres a bias.

But yes, I agree its a shame that you must have Cablevision to see the Metro games. Its all about the money when it comes to Dolan.

As for the game...Poti looks like he's still out, so Pushor will play with Leetch. And Jagr is playing with Nedved and Hlavac.

nyr5186 01-24-2004 06:01 PM

Scratch that, Poti's good to go. Bouchard is a healthy scratch.

Theoren Fan 01-24-2004 06:03 PM

New thought

Like the Pushor deal alot more.

Why?

It appears to have broken up the Poti-Leetch pairing.

It's about time.

Son of Steinbrenner 01-24-2004 06:03 PM

poti playing tonight! does that deserve a :handclap: or a  ?

I think the rangers win tonight. usually after a big trade normal teams win 3 or 4 or in a row. This isn't exactly a normal team. wtf i'll say jagr hat trick rangers win 4-2

Theoren Fan 01-24-2004 06:06 PM

I hate Metro

"Before we get to the action, let me just tell you about some exciting offers we have up for bid"

Is that all they do on this friggin channel?

How much more Budget can they get? That station is run on peanuts.

#37-#93-#27* 01-24-2004 06:08 PM

Power Play 21 seconds in, lets see how we'll do.

Nedved-Lindros-Jagr
Leetch-Kovalev

SICK powerplay!

riz 01-24-2004 06:09 PM

Soooo....what has changed with the team ?

Holik is still used as an offensive center.
There is no checking line (and Glen...czeching-line does not apply here).
Leetch and Poti are still a pair.
No one is clearing the crease.

Well...atleast we have a few new names on the roster :)

LET'S GO RANGERS !

PP already, let's see what this new Jagr kid can bring for our PP.

robertch 01-24-2004 06:18 PM

how's the PP look??

riz 01-24-2004 06:18 PM

Cross-ice pass by Rucinsky, straight to Spezza, breakaway...scores !

Now where have I heard this before ?

EDIT: 2-0 Smolinski....

shmekel 01-24-2004 06:25 PM

Wow. This is turning out to be a complete disaster.
