who uses Eagle Goalie Pads?

I know Mason does and Esche did/is... don't know any after that.

Here's the story of eagle I found on the web:

Quote:

The owner of Eagle (Ross Agathos) used to be one of the owners of Vaughn Canada. About 10 years ago, Mike Vaughn and Ross parted ways. You'd have to ask them for the exact details. There was a non compete clause in their agreement and Ross could not make goal equipement for 3 years. He owned Forte mfg in Quebec (they make a lot of player gloves) and started out Eagle hockey. They became known for player gloves very quickly and then began to mfg. goalie equipment. They started small and hired a few former employees from VAUGHN. I believe that they have moved twice and are in a fairly large facility located in London, Ontario.

That is their story in a nutshell.

Vaughn is the end-all, be-all, epicenter of goalie pad production. Every brand takes from Vaughn.

Pros that use other pads frequently heavily modify their pads to resemble V (velo) 2s.

at the NHL game, its really all about money.

I don't use the pads, but I use an Eagle chest protector. The most mobile c/a I've ever used- I was able to touch the back of my mask teh first time I put it on.
