I'm looking forward to a few more wins for the Dogs. I thought that once the Oilers split they wouldn't still challenge for top spot, but damn they are doing great :yo:

With all the callups, they are a depleted lineup. But this is the chance for players like Pleks, Higgins, Perezhogin, Hainsey, Beauchemin, Milroy and Ferland to make their mark. Step it up boys, sure would like to see two wins on the Rock this week.

Hopin to get some ticket for either tonight or tommorow. This should be a hard series, because the Leafs blow.

gohabsgo2010 01-27-2004 11:50 PM

It's 1-1 in the third.

Plekanec has scored from Milroy and Traverse.

Shots are 26-20 in favour of the Dogs.

19:00 to go.

Higgins with 7 shots, Hossa with 6 and Milroy with 6 shots. (19 shots between the 3 of them) Cote was a +2, now a +15 and tops for our defensemen. Higgins and Perezhogin now have a combinded 46 pts, with 23 a piece. Plekanec has 4 pts in 3 games since being sent back down. :yo:

Rematch tomorrow, same time, same team.

How is Hossa playing?

And Higgins, do you think that he could make an impact in the NHL this season? Because I really don't think that Juneau is gonna last the whole season, his back is messed.

I don't want too much kids around Montreal. They need to gain playoff experience in the AHl with the strong team Hamilton is putting on the ice. I want Gratton and either of Balej or Dagenais back there soon. But damn Balej's looking good... so much potential.... so much kids we have... :yo:

I saw one game at the rookie tourney and was impressed with Cote's physical play and stay at home presence. We may have snagged one here from the Leafs who I believe originally drafted him and let him go. If nothing else, good for depth in our D at Hamilton. In the long run, still young enough to emerge from the ashes.

Good to see a solid showing from Higgs, Hossa, Milroy and Pleks. Some young and old there stepping it up!!

Hossa was brutal the last game I was at, but that was a few games ago. Seems like he's been picking it up lately since Balej's been called up. He's had 15 shots on goal in the last 2 games.

I think Higgins could do ok, but I'd hate to see him rushed. He plays a smart game, which is why I think he could handle the NHL, but I'd hate to turn him into a 3rd line checker (by hurting his confidence if we rush him too soon).

I've seen Cote around 10 times now, and I really like his physical play, as he seems to like to hit. He is sort of shaky in his own end at times, but for a rookie I think he is doing a good job. I really hope the Habs consider picking him up.

Brisebois 01-28-2004 05:44 PM

There goes Plekanec's assist streak

;)

gohabsgo2010 01-28-2004 05:52 PM

So the Dogs take the win and they're right back at it tonight.

And Brisebois, if he can't grab an assist, than a goal is just fine. ;)

Not to be looking past Wednesday's game, but The Dogs are on The Score this Friday at 7:00 vs. the Roadrunners.
