eeeeeeexcellent Mr. Burns!

Found this on the Canucks board ... Trotz has been giving the boys time off because the boys are tired

Enoch 02-21-2008 11:47 AM

it had meanings on multiple levels. ;)

Bobby Lou 02-21-2008 12:42 PM

There is an outside chance Bieksa is back in the Canucks line-up tonight. So he's probably more doubtful / probable. Please don't cut him again.

The word earlier on in the week was that Pyatt will be back tonight, as well.

Personally, if I were a Canuck, I'd be more afraid of Edler shooting a puck into my face. The Fiddler-Bieksa incident was kind of a freaky occurance, but a scary one I might say. Glad to hear the Bieksa has recovered and I hope he returns to as good as new. However, obviously I wish him zero luck playing against the Preds.

Yah, I was definitely just joking, it was obviously a pretty freak occurence.

Bieksa is now confirmed for tonight, so he is actually back.

lstcyr 02-21-2008 02:24 PM

uh, how does H sedin had 50 assists but only 47 points???:amazed:

Bit of an error.;)

Henrik leads the Canucks with 62 points.

JannikAtTheDisco 02-21-2008 02:32 PM

Bieksa is back tonight, watch out Vernon

Pyatt is probable in my opinion, last day of the father-son trip, he probably wants to play for his dad is he is above 90%

At least the game's in HD.

triggrman 02-21-2008 11:01 PM

We suck on shutouts.

golfmade 02-21-2008 11:05 PM

At least we got a point...

Paincakes 02-21-2008 11:09 PM

The game was a sell-out. :handclap:

Enoch 02-21-2008 11:13 PM

Luongo was the sole reason for the Canucks win tonight. He played amazing.

This was easily one of the worst games I have ever seen the Sedins play. The defensive effort tonight was outstanding against the duo.

Roger Explosion 02-21-2008 11:38 PM

Luongo is amazing, I can't believe we only scored 2 goals on 51 shots.

No worries. Shootout wins are first round playoff losers-- see last year's Preds. This team is built for 6 hour games won by a Jered Smithson deflection.

I don't know, the goaltenders have a tendency to allow bad goals at inopportune moments.

totally disagree. i think this is a perfect example of why this team will not go far if anywhere in the POs. we do not have the goaltending that is required(nor the offense to compensate against good teams). with an equal or slightly lesser minder we win this game, but instead tonight we lose. i don't want to say mason cost us this game, but luongo gained them 1 if not 2 pts tonight. the only way we advance is if either minder goes unconcious, because an effort like tonight is what that would require. for luongo it is just another night in which he scored pts for his team, i.e. he can do that consistantly rather than once in a blue moon. granted it isn't fair to compare mason with one of the best in the game, but we simple don't have the margin for anyone to have an off night. yes we might be able to win the 1-0 game against a good offensive team(see canes game), but we simple will not be able to do that consistently. i know this is a bargin basement team and given the $/win ratio we are probably among the tops in the league. just tired of seeing 1st round exits. the boys have sucked it up and played better than i thought they would this year. i just have that sinking feeling that they must find another gear(which they already have) in order to go any further. we need someone who can win us a game more than once a month, because come the playoffs all of the games will be like tonight.
