"Rangers dont expect Lindros back this season"

Reported on NHL2NIGHT.

Which ever choice Lindros makes I'll respect. He still is and always will be my favorite hockey player. Whatever is best for his HEALTH is what is important.. sure will suck to never see him play again though.

Not trying to be a jerk and I've defended Lindros a number of times in threads started by 15 year olds who never saw how dominant Lindros really was in the 90s, but given his history of concussions, I'm somewhat surprised that it took this long for him to suffer another one.

I'd love to see him back and playing, but only if that's the right choice for his long-term health. If not hang them up Eric, like Orr, Neely, and many others who had their careers cut way too short. If that's the case the game and the fans will miss you.

kind of sucks that a player as good as eric will never have his number retired by a team. unless philly overlooks the fued, i suppose.

i wonder if he's talked to richter about his situation any in the last few days.

Being a Devils fan, I've always rooted against Lindros. But this just sucks. He loves the game so much and plays it the way it was meant to be played. I hope he's able to come back, but I also hope that he makes the right decision for his long term health.

Man, if Lindros retires I think I might finally have to take his poster off of my wall. It's been there so long it would be strange to not see it when I walk into my room; I guess I have a love-hate thing for Lindros still. The *******! :p
