:joker: what would that accomplish?

I like him with the wild... another failure turned into a success story !

I'm happy he has found a place to play. He sure is capable of good things when he put his mind to it. I hope he keeps improving and proves everyone wrong.

i dont think he would fit in montreal plans
and for who we would deal him?

dackell+dykhuis for daigle maybe?

Ya me as well I was happy when he returned for another shot because he's got the talent. About bringing him to Montreal I don't know if he's a Gainey type player but I think i'd rather have him on the 2nd line with Ribiero over Dagenais the way things are going right now.

Daigle to Montreal has disaster written all over it.

I think the media would drive Daigle crazy with stroies and questions about his previous failures and any success he has right now would be overlooked by the media.

Probablely best for everyone if he stays in Minnesota.

I concur.

No Daigle in Montreal plz.

Anyway , i seriously doubt that he is the kind of player that Gainey like

Edit: It's not the post that i wanted to quote

Oh, God, no.

Guys, I know certain players seem like a natural fit in Montreal, but if our experiences with Audette, Sylvain Turgeon, Richer (the second time), Racine, Dykhuis, etc. have taught us anything, it's that we should not expect that Fr. Canadian players will raise their level of play upon arriving in Montreal. We should be looking beyond nationality altogether and simply try to find the best players available to fill in our weak areas. I think it would be an enormous stretch to say Daigle fits the bill in that regard.

RaTcine 02-03-2004 02:47 PM

Daigle has to stay in Minnesota. I think it's the perfect team for him. Even in a poor team like Pittsburgh he didnt make it good.
He wouldn't have a spot with the habs.

Habber 02-03-2004 02:56 PM

No way should we try for Daigle.

Even putting aside the whole French connection, he's just not that good of a hockey player. He's got some decent offensive talent, but he's very soft and poor defensively. The knock on him his whole career has been his lack of motivation, why on earth would we want someone like this.

On top of all this, he's not really having that great of a season. He's on pace for 18 goals and 36 pts, big deal. There's no way he would crack our top 6 and is useless anywhere else.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

please no, he'd be torn apart here

don't waste anything in a trade for him

don't even mention his name

Habs4ever 02-03-2004 03:40 PM

We already have Dagenais whose brought in after he's career ended

Daigle is looking good because he's on the first line on a not too deep Minnesota club, wich would not be the case in Montreal
