St. Patrick’s Day is on Monday and we’ll get your Irish ears smiling this Saturday as we broadcast live from the Irish American Ice Hockey Classic in Boston! We’ll be live from Hurricane O’Reilly’s Pub and Restaurant at 150 Canal St. Boston. The Irish American Hockey Association is holding a charity tournament to raise money for youth hockey in Ireland. The Boston Bruins Alumni team, the Dropkick Murphy’s, P.J. Stock and the Team 990 from Montreal and many other celebrity teams will be playing and then partying at Hurricane O’Reilly’s and we’ll bring you all the Irish hockey cheer you can handle! If you’re in the Boston area, come on by for a pint and some hockey talk.
As always, we’ve got a jam-packed line-up as we take you on the fastest skate around the world of hockey! We’re excited to have two special guest hosts with us this week, as former NHLer Ian Moran and Boston-based hockey reporter Joe Haggerty will join Murph at Hurricane O’Reilly’s.
We’ll go “Toe to Toe” with Todd Carroll, with special feature guest and former NHL enforcer Jim Cummins. We will also take you “Between the Pipes” with former NHL goaltending coach Brian Daccord of “Stop it Goaltending” and the “Goaltending Consulting Group”. Patrick King of Sportsnet.ca will take us on the “Junior Circuit” with Bellville Bulls goaltender Mike Murphy. In our “Around The Globe” segment, brought to you by Il Triple Overtime Wine, we’ll talk to Ian Moran about his experience playing overseas. Judd Sirott will give us the preview of the HDNet feature game of the night, Kings at Wild and we’ll finish things off with some participants in the Irish American Hockey Classic.
