A tiny glitch if we need to get a goalie

The way I am understand the goalie situation is this:

Hackett plays tonight and the management, coaches and Clarke see how he does in the game. If the symptoms come back, that would lead me to assume that he is done with the Flyers. So Clarke says he will trade for a goalie. If Hackett isn't bought out and included in a trade, who the hell in their right mind will trade for Jeff Hackett?

Even if he does alright and then blows it in the next few weeks, again, who in their right mind will trade for Jeff?

:dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

They don't have to trade him. They could put him on injured reserve, or buy him out.

If Hackett knows he can't perform my guess is he will retire. He'd be stupid not to.

I wasn't sure. It is a valid concern though.

We can take him out back and shoot him, along with Theiren and Wiernrich (SP?) :joker:

Don't quote me here, but I read a few days ago somewhere (possibly on this board) that if Hackett can't return they could use insurance money to pay for him and free up space and money to bring another goaltender in.

I don't know how it works or if it's even possible.
