Will they get cheered or boo'd? Redux with the Right Poll answers
I'm curious to know what people's opinions are in this scenario.
Let's say the Bruins take the next 2 games, by whatever margin. Do you think that the fans will give the Habs a standing ovation for a job well done this season, or will they boo them off the ice for not fulfilling our cup aspriations?
I think that, as quick as we are to complain, the fans at the Bell centre will be respectful and rightfully cheer them off the ice. However, my buddy thinks the opposite because people's expectations are now so high.
I haven't done a poll in ages... Sorry about the Yes or No from the previous thread.
I'm not one to advocate booing our own players, but if they lose this series they deserve it -- it would be the biggest choke job in the history of the Montreal Canadiens.
We've never lost down 3-1, the Bruins have never won. We're the first seed, they're the eighth. We have the better team but the effort has not been very strong; that deserves no applause.
Fortunately I don't think this discussion is necessary because I think they'll come out flying tonight and put the Bruins out of their misery.
GO HABS GO!
