2 quick questions...
just take a look at this article on nhl.com:
http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?service=...ticleid=361418 first question: when did the canadiens lost one stanley cup, always thought we had 24 stanley cup, not 23 as they say on the article :P ya i know it's probably a conspiracy :sarcasm: now here's my real question, on all time playoffs record, they say the habs have 8 ties....does anyone here know why?? |
Could be they won a stanley cup before The NHL was formed???
Maybe series were total points at one time??? |

And maybe it's overtime? I highly doubt Montreal would have only gone to 8 overtime games and lost. Maybe, like the summit series, they had something stupid were you played an even amount of games, which was tied, then, because the other team had more goals, or points, or whatever, they won. |
Habs first cup: 1915-16
NHL formed: 1917 There's your explanation. |

Pascal Rheume: http://www.hhof.com/html/exSCJ_14.shtml (2nd last paragraph) and Aaron Rome: http://www.hhof.com/html/exSCJ07_16.shtml (6th paragraph down I believe) I have seen pics of Aaron cleaning out the Cup the morning after with a hose. He found out the Cup was going to Brian Burke the next day and didn't want to get in trouble for messing it up. LOL |
