GDT Kings vs The Tie Monsters!

Last we faced it were a 2-2 tie. We have a knack for that with the wild. (god I hope I recalled that wins page right, oh well.)

Kings 60 points. Call ups Tripp,Gleason and the ever popular Zizka and his defencive escort service. We will be without Vis (nerve injury) and one or two of our other top notch players.

Wild, 55 points. The Wild are playing with a very solid roster and have been playing a bit like they did last year during thier run. Gaborik is even starting to find the net a little bit of late. Same system, same trap, same low scoring outcome.

I expect another chess game that ends in a tie.

Kings - 1

Wild - 1

Of course the missing of Vis could turn this into a loss for us....

I'll take a 1-1 tie as well.

Andy Murray's told the boys this is the real All-Star game. Inserted their pix in the program. Kings play like hellcats. 4-1 Kings. Minnesota's lost like 5 of the last 10. Bet we see Fernandez in a showcase tilt for the Rangers. Roloson had a long weekend.

LuckyLUC20 02-10-2004 11:29 AM

First meeting: 2-2

Second meeting: 2-2

Hmmm ... I'll go with 2-2 for $500, Alex!

Ill take La to win 3-2, I think we will really be pressing for the 2 points tonight since there are 4 teams tied at 60!!!

Go KINGS!!!!!

question: Is Gaborik injured???

Gaborik is back. Apparently skating fine, feels good.

Jim Dowd and Andre Zyuzin are out.

Brad Brown expected to make his triumphant return! :D

Wild have taken a point or better out of the last 6 home games....

palffytofrovlov 02-10-2004 04:02 PM

I will say 4 - 2 Kings.... Frolov, Luc, Barney and Modry the goal scorers....

jfont 02-10-2004 06:35 PM

*sigh*

i'm just glad hockey's back... :)

Sydor25 02-10-2004 07:37 PM

Just amazing how Robitaille finds the openings. All five Wild defenders were around him, yet he stills gets off a pretty good shot.

Sydor25 02-10-2004 07:41 PM

Typical Kings-Wild game...the Kings with the only great chances, double the number of shots and yet a tie game. I think that Barney will learn to be a little further out from goal in the future, he sets up a little too close and doesn't have enough room to get the puck over the goalies pads.

jfont 02-10-2004 07:42 PM

1st period over...good period for the kings i think...they controlled the play with their big players in the minny zone...rolosson had to be pretty darn good and he was.

Just be thankful that you are a basketball fan. I can hardly imagine going one, or maybe two years without the NHL

Dont worry that is ending soon. It will soon be the Nash-Nowitzki, or the Tim Duncan era.

Sydor25 02-10-2004 08:15 PM

Was he screened or was it just a bad angle goal?

Alot of good things going our way tonight. Buffalo 2 San Jose 1 with 5:00 to go in the 3rd. Ottawa 3 St. Louis 0. Atlanta 1 Calagary 0, and of course we are winning.

Instant ban for him if the Sharks, Blues and/or Calgary come back to win and the Kings lose to the Wild. :D

Cross off the Sharks, they lost to the Sabres 2-1. :handclap:

Sydor25 02-10-2004 08:26 PM

Can someone please explain why Zizka is playing over Gleason?
