ryder anyone?

the team cannot score, i do not understand why guy wont tell the second best goal scorer on the team to go out and just score goals like he did before and not worry about playing defensively and stuff. Im sure if he was told that his role is to score goals and nothing else, he would play fairly well.

Clumsyhab 04-28-2008 10:03 PM

I want him in, but I wonder if he still have the desire. He would have scored on those open nets, but he's never able to create his shots.

I'd be pretty pissed off if I was him. Not sure, but it might be too late to get him back into the lineup - and can you blame him really?

No that would make sense, plus he has to be french..come on....are you new here?

Koivu2001 04-28-2008 10:07 PM

I think we need that Ryder right hand shot on the PP, but carbo is a.....nvm

TheCH* 04-28-2008 10:07 PM

Yes Ryder would still have desire, i am sure he wants to get paid this summer. Sit O'Byrne, move Streit back on D and bring in Ryder. We need offense.

JGRB 04-28-2008 10:09 PM

Ryder needs to be in next game IMO, infact, so does Grabovski... Latendresse-Grabovski-Ryder.. 3rd offensive line, lets get it rolling already!

Adam91 04-28-2008 10:09 PM

Do I want him to play: Yes!!

Will he play: Unlikely

RE-HABS 04-28-2008 10:09 PM

I've lost all faith in Carbo to put Ryder in...if he is in I would be totally suprised.

Carbo has a hate and will put his feelings ahead of the teams needs it looks like.

Owen Wilson 04-28-2008 10:10 PM

Ryder will play on Wednesday with Tender out...book it!

Kirk Muller 04-28-2008 10:11 PM

I want him in there. I don't think Carbo will make the adjustment though.

Joey 04-28-2008 10:13 PM

scratch Yappy Lappy and put Ryder on a line with Streit which is centered by Pleks, Koivu, and Smolinski all throughout the game (the 4th line barely plays, it wouldn't really make these guys too much more tired...except Koivu maybe)

that line would get scored on probably every shift.

Turboflex* 04-28-2008 10:13 PM

Ryder for Streit.

Latendresse - Lapierre - Ryder

Might bring some jam to the 3rd line. Streit has been terrible on the forcheck chasing dumpins. Always peels off and the flyers get it out.

Sit Streit, he really looks like he needs a rest and to re-evaluate his game. A night in the pressbox could help him realize this isn't the swiss league and he needs to give everything to win the big show, the ultimate hockey prize. Not just getting team swiss to the quarter-finals of the olympics is a glorious achievement.

RE-HABS 04-28-2008 10:14 PM

Carbo makes two mistakes.

Puts Lats in.

Breaks up the 3rd line.

Two lines out of sync with little to no offensive talent on either.

Dress Grabs with Ryder and Lats, play them 8 minutes...I bet you see more from them in 8 minutes than you saw from Dandy, Lappy and Streit in 10 games.

tiredman 04-28-2008 10:14 PM

and he's supposed to replace who ? latendresse is the only player who could be replaced IMO... but ryder has even less goals than latendresse... so, i doubt it would be a good decision.

I thought Lats with Laps were good together tonight.

Same feeling.

redmachine54 04-28-2008 10:21 PM

At this point, we have to not want Ryder in the line-up in order for him to play.

huet the master 04-28-2008 10:22 PM

yes, please

They weren't even on the same line.

chaosrevolver 04-28-2008 10:24 PM

Please Carbo. Take a chance and put in a guy who has had more than 60 goals in the two seasons before this.

This post is wrong on so many levels.

We did not lose because of the third and fourth lines tonight. We lost because the PP early on could not adjust to the Flyers.

Then you go and say Grabovsky should get in.:shakehead

Yes, I think that you've nailed it on the head. CH didn't have the energy that Begin, Smoke and Kosto brought to earlier games.

If Lats' won't go in front of the goalie and take the punishement, then sit his fat ass down!

Put Ryder in. Pleks is still playing like a little girl and if he's gonna be like that, I would put Ryder in ahead of Pleks, and the Kosties.

It doesn't matter very much how talented you are in the playoff but more how much you are willing to sacrifice...and none of the above guys have shown tonight that they are willing to do whatever it takes to win.

It's a matter of wills, not a matter of skill!

why? What has Streit done aside from being a bumbling idiot on the PP and not forechecking as a forward.
