OT: Sad Day in Whitby.....

One little boy whose life was once brightened by the Habs and Mike Komisarek passed away today..... Joshua Liscio of Whitby, Ontario lost a hard fought battle with Cancer. He was a brave young man, and through the his efforts, and with the help of friends, family, teachers, and schoolmates he raised over $10,000 for this worthy cause.

Here are Bob McKenzie's stories on this story.

RIP little man. Take a seat with the habs legendary ghosts before leaving forever.

These stories always make me cry.

A parent should never outlive his child... :(

RE-HABS 05-02-2008 08:28 PM

That stroy has me in tears as I write this. Having a son who is only 2 and a half really makes me appreciate having him and him having his health.

I send my sincere condolences to their family and tell them to cherish the time they had and remember the good times...that's what he would have wanted.

RIP.

As a parent, that's my greatest fear. The world can be very cruel.

That remind me a story in ottawa about a little kid who was sick and became close friend with mike fischer and he died the day the sens won in ot in buffalo to advanced to the stanley cup final! Really touching story! Was aired on tsn, im sured its somewhere on youtube

One the the perks..No... THE best perk of growing old is seeing you child having kids of his own. Passing on the family values and all.

A parent should never have to go thru a birthday or XMas and be having to remember how it was when when his child was there.

Jean-Guy Drouin* 05-03-2008 01:04 AM

Damn, that's very sad. A child should never die like this. Or in any other ways neither.

In a perfect world, children wouldn't die.

No doubt he'll be watching tonight's game in heaven with the rest of the Habs fans up there.

Sleep well Joshua.

This is the saddest thread ever... Even as a new dad, I cannot even start to imagine what his family is going through... Gotta go, gotta go kiss my little girl right now.
