Ryder to Boston Possibly??????

Does anyone think there's a possibility that Ryder will sign in boston in the off season?? It seems that Julien has always brought the best out of him. I think Ryder knows this, an Julien nows this... Will Julien convince upper management of this??

Thoughts???? (Please leave the Ryder bashing at the door)

It's possible but I heard rumours that NYR was really interested in him.
He might go to Boston, though. I don't know if I like the idea of him showing up for a team we play so often. Cause you just know fate has decided we're going to meet them in the playoffs forever and ever...

Boston or Vancouver

I don't know their cap situation, but boston makes a lot of sense.

a) Bruins need goals desperately (duh)

b) Julien is familiar with Ryder and Ryder has had most of his success when playing under Julien whether it be in the NHL or elsewhere.

c) Bruins can re-vive his career and the B's can then stick it to montreal. I'm not saying this is a direct reason for interest but it would be icing on the cake for them.

Not sure about Boston but Vancouver and Calgary (if they lose Huselius) would make sense. The Rangers is also a possibility since they will most likely have to replace Jagr and Shanny.

If they try for Hossa and settle for Ryder, I'll be very happy as a habs supporter... and pretty pissed if I was a Bruins fan

Dandes 05-05-2008 08:50 AM

the bruin's uniform is made for player like ryder

LyleOdelein 05-05-2008 08:58 AM

I wouldn't be too surprised if the Stars sign Ryder.

If Ryder does go to Boston, be prepared for a John LeClair like dominance against Montreal. After we traded big John to Philly, he simply dominated when he played against us. He scored goals, set goals up, hit everything in site and played his best hockey when he faced the Habs after the trade.

I could see Ryder turning things around with a new team, I just hope it isn't with a team that we play 8 times a year.

But then again, there is always the chance that Ryder will continue to stink. If thats the case...I hope he does end up in Boston. Anything to make the Bruins a worse team is great in my books.

True but he could also become another Glen Murray. LeClair was much more physical than Ryder and that's an aspect of his game that killed us time after time after time. They're not exactly the same type of player.

I could see Ryder going to Toronto too and be a Hab killer.

Reading that just seemed right, for some reason. Call it a hunch.

Thankfully, my gut instincts suck.

I would bet along side the Sedin Sisters

Habs 4 Life 05-05-2008 11:24 AM

I know there is a julien connection but I doubt the bruins sign him

WeThreeKings 05-05-2008 11:25 AM

I don't want him.

unless SK switches to C...no match

the Sedin sisters are LW/C respectively. Ryder's a RW.

Just sayin'

but i bet you'll be excited if he signs with your team ;)

I'm not really sold on Clawed being all it takes to suddenly turn MR into the next scoring machine out of Boston. *shrug*

Must suck having two sisters owning your team.

Zeus54 05-05-2008 11:39 AM

Unless Boston gives him a truckload of cash, I don't see him winding up there.
