Skate stiffness
I am able next year to get two pairs of skates, one at the start of the year, one after christmas, from my team. I am wondering what the biggest benefits of a stiff skate are( Vapor 40 or S15 versus graf Ultra G 35)? I have always used a graf, and the last grafs I had, I had for two years, so they had no stiffness by the end. However, if I get two pairs a year, should I go with the most comfortable skate, or with a stiffer skate? I realize this quesstion is a but garbled, but any responses on this would be appreciated.

If your current skates have lasted two years, and your next pair only has to last six months, it doesn't sound to me like you'd need a stiffer boot unless you've gotten significantly taller and heavier since getting your last skates. If the Grafs you have are working for you I'd stick with that model unless the start causing problems at some point.
