OT: NHL Network moved to sports tier (Time Warner NYC)

If you're a Time Warner customer in NYC, you now need to pay an additional $2.95 a month to get the NHL Network and a number of other sports channels.

I just found this out the hard way.

I guess in the off season, it went from being included with NHL Center Ice to... not.

If you expect to always get something for nothing in this country, you will always be disappointed. And pretty soon, they'll be nothing but old games on it anyway.

Have to pay separately for NHL Network & Center Ice up here....

The Thomas J.* 05-18-2008 08:33 AM

I never had it as part of my package.

I ordered The NHL Network 2 months ago, and then I saw I had Center Ice... I paid a 1 time fee off $59.99 prorated.

Huh? It's been like that since the NHL Network debuted on TWCNYC ....

Yeah, it's always been on the sports tier. The channel has tons of room for improvement. Maybe Center Ice will go 100% HD next season...that would get me to subscribe.

I'm going with Center Ice Online until I can access archives on the television version.
