OT - Soccer Toronto FC Vs Impact

MLS Team in Montreal this evening.

Impact Vs Toronto FC tonight in a Canadian Qualifying Tournament Game this evening at Saputo Stadium. Anyone think Montreal has a shot?

Magic33 05-27-2008 12:51 PM

i think so, although i would assume TFC has a bigger payroll and thus better players from all over the world. I think vancouver beat the Galaxy though in an ehxhibition. I've seen both leagues live, and the skill level doesnt seem to different. Should be a good one

Player 61 05-27-2008 12:54 PM

I believe that TFC are missing a couple of key players who away for international duty.

terreur 05-27-2008 01:12 PM

quick question... how much is it to see an impact game?

Player 61 05-27-2008 01:14 PM

Too bad the game isn't broadcasted live :( Midnight is a bit late for me, but I'll watch it if I manage not to see the final score before it starts

Phil Parent 05-27-2008 01:41 PM

It's live on radio. CKAC.

Seb 05-27-2008 01:41 PM

The game will be aired live on Radio-Canada.ca

You'll just have to click on the teaser that says Ne ratez pas le match entre l'Impact et le Toronto FC en direct, ce mardi 19 h 30 before the game.

looks like it's live online in English as well on CBC.ca. There's a ghosted link for 7:30.

You guys just made my day :hyper:

mrCoffea* 05-27-2008 04:42 PM

I'll be there, should be fun

My first time at the new stadium. I'm a bit bitter though cause I live in one of the new Condos next to Claude Robillard and I was able to see Impact Games from my terrace (well, not perfectly because of some trees, but still)

Widescreen Internet broadcast on radio-canada.ca... Very nice!

Stefan 05-27-2008 06:59 PM

TFC will smoke em.

Kachino 05-27-2008 07:18 PM

Love Radio-Canada's broadcast...where you can clearly hear things like "**** off you piece of ****"....

Man, 11 vs 10...

71st minute: That was close... great defensive play by Toronto CB..

73rd: Very nice header by Velez... Great free-kick by Laurent Robert... 1-0 Toronto...

I was there. Impact should have put this one away.

Russeltown 05-28-2008 08:35 AM

The Impact made good impression. I am proud of our team :yo:

Yeah, really unfortunate for the red card (1st yellow? but obvious 2nd)... and the not called penalty at the beginning of the game...

Laurent Robert showed why he was a good player in Europe with some great precise free-kicks...

Stefan 05-28-2008 09:34 AM

First goal in Saputo Stadium history... scored by Toronto. Ouch. :yo:

Player 61 05-28-2008 10:58 AM

Too bad they get nothing for that game. They were clearly the dominant team in the 1st half. UGH! Red Card & that missed call at the beginning on TFC. It was still a great match, it looked like they belonged playing an MLS club.

Get out of this thread you troll! :sarcasm:

ForzaAzzurri 05-28-2008 11:54 AM

I was at the game last night and thought it was a great game. Beautiful new stadium.

Did any of you stick around after the game and see the garbage that unfolded between the toronto fans and "montreal fans"...wouldn't call them fans, more like montreal residents..

anyway...it got ugly, security was involved. It was pretty sad to see.
