Reason why NOTHING will change at MSG

if you go to ESPN.com and look at the attendence page under stats you will see the Rangers in each of the last 4 seasons have around 99% attendence at home.
Obviously they're doing something right if they pretty much have sellouts every home game with the team being this bad. So Ranger fans (and I'm one of them) get used to it. :shakehead

The fact of the matter is that the Rangers have one of the most loyal, rabid fan followings. I'm not just saying that as a Rangers fan. It's just the truth. I was either watching something on tv or heard it on one of the sports radios. They were talking about the most loyal and largest fan followings. The teams that they names were the Redskins, NY Giants, Packers, Rangers, and Red Wings.
The fact that MSG is always full of people is just a testament to us, their fans. No matter how alienated we may feel by Sather and Dolan, we still show up.

those attendance figures are complete bs...those are tickets sold due to season ticket holders, companies that own tickets and the garden often donates tickets before the game so they can say they were sold...

except for mike richter night, it has been closer to 75% filled

let's also keep in mind that new york city is such a tightly packed area. it can't be that hard to find 18,200 people willing to take a ten minute subway ride to watch a hockey game.

I have a question. When the Rangers sucked (in 60s, 70s), was the attendance as bad as the attendance for the knicks in 84-85 (~less than 50%)?
