Tom Poti

Has anyone ever thought of moving Poti to the wing?He has good skills and great offensive abilities. He makes big mistakes sometimes on defence and we should try him at foward :dunno:

i'd like to see that done. Don't know if it has ever been tried, though.

Its too late for that hes been an nhl defensemen for what at least 4-5 years now, besides id have to say he has made great strides this year in becoming a more rounded defensemen

he actually uses his body to make hits this year, he has cut down on turnovers alot, and he has been extremely aggressive at times in the defensive zone, but his point production has slipped a bit and he is still weak at times in front of the net but he has improved his defensive game

the only things id like him to really work on are his play in front of the net to strengthen his legs to be able to push players out of the crease and id like to see him give more effort when clearing the zone on powerplays and in general, he still can be lazy with that at times

yeah, i'd like to see that too. I haven't notice his blunders as much so perhaps he has improved. I'd still like to try him on a wing...just to see. Can't think of any instances wear it worked out well, though. (the transition of a dman to a wing)

sather should switch poti and ortmeyer in a practice scrimmage*...that might actually benefit us more than the current situation, if not for the time to learn the new positions.

*you know...if he ever calls a non-optional practice.
