I think everyone saw it coming but it's still sad nonetheless.

CCF 06-10-2008 05:22 PM

Shucks. Would have enjoyed one more year.

Well here's to the greatest Canuck ever!

Shane 06-10-2008 05:24 PM

You'll always be a Canuck, Trevor.

Harold 06-10-2008 05:24 PM

Nooooooooo!!!!

vancityluongo 06-10-2008 05:25 PM

Thanks for everything Trevor.

Alan Jackson 06-10-2008 05:32 PM

It's probably time. I think he can still play, but it wasn't going to work under this coach, which is too bad.

Belamorte 06-10-2008 05:37 PM

Its time, but still kinda sad. Thanks for the memories Captain Canuck.

Trends Analyst 06-10-2008 05:43 PM

Thanks for all the memories Trev  wish we could have won a cup with you.

Danrik 06-10-2008 05:45 PM

Definately a sad day. Linden has (and always will) been my favourite Canuck since I was an 11 year old kid. I'm now in my 30's with my own kids. Kind of scary I've been watching him this long.

I remember his rookie year as well. Crazy how much time I've put into this team.

Zorbane 06-10-2008 06:06 PM

:(

Don't know what else to say

cyber_ecco 06-10-2008 06:08 PM

Anyone hear if he was offered a front office position?

hehehaha 06-10-2008 06:09 PM

We'll miss you Trevor. :(

Ernie 06-10-2008 06:13 PM

Hopefully he stays in the city.

It would be nice to see him in a front office position, but wouldn't it be nice to see him in the media? Perhaps he can go on CBC as a commentator?

Likewise for me. I started watching hockey more seriously during Trevor's rookie year, so I basically grew up watching him. He was always a favourite of mine.

PortlandCanuck 06-10-2008 06:35 PM

He will always be the Canuck, like Stan Smyl before him, that will be the face of our team...good luck and thank you for the memories!:(

bishop12 06-10-2008 06:40 PM

Thanks for everything Trev..you've been first class mate.

hackey 06-10-2008 06:51 PM

He shoulda. woulda, coulda and probably wanted to come back for another year... but that was squashed when the nucks kept Vino

EpochLink 06-10-2008 06:54 PM

Happy retirement Trevor! Seeing your number raised to the rafters soon :handclap:

The Bob Cole 06-10-2008 07:04 PM

Wow this was completely out of left field, did not see this coming.

JannikAtTheDisco 06-10-2008 07:05 PM

:( Just heard the news...

Although expected, it doesn't make it any less sad...

You will be missed Trevor! Can't wait to see #16 raised to the rafters...

Rotting Corpse* 06-10-2008 07:06 PM

Really, really sucks that he didn't get another cup run after 94. I never would have thought back then that that was his last shot at it.

Am absolutely looking forward to the ceremony on the home opener.
